My 3 year old (I know, not a toddler) is crying because she doesn't want our snowman to be cold Grin

I would argue that 3 is still a toddler.

Mines generally cries when I put him down, after he specifically requested to be put down 🙄

MolesOnPoles · 16/12/2022 18:26

She wants Father Christmas to give her porridge with holes in it. I mentioned that FC might not know how to put holes in porridge. That was this morning and she was still whining about it when I waved her off for her bath shoved her at DH and ran.

To be fair she is getting over strep A and is not herself.

Not mine but a little girl beside us yesterday at the Christmas markets started crying "but I wanted chips" after her mum handed her ........ chips 😂 then lost her mind when the ketchup she requested was put on them

My son is currently going through a phase of crying because his food has a bite taken out of it. A bite that he just took.

A favourite in our house is that a biscuit or cracker has been broken (normally by him). Can’t be eaten if it’s been broken…

COL1N · 18/12/2022 07:45

DD went to the toilet, flushed, washed hands, then suddenly hysterical that she wanted her wee to come back 🙄

Fivemoreminutes1 · 18/12/2022 07:54

Because I cut her toast into squares not triangles.

We have that here too! A broken biscuit is the end of the world 🙄

My DD had a meltdown last night because we said she couldn't wear her boots in the Bath

MrNook · 18/12/2022 08:14

My 19 month old cried this morning because I wouldn't let her eat the Quorn ham she'd taken out the fridge for breakfast

Totally acceptable to cry over this, triangles are superior!

Waitwhat23 · 18/12/2022 10:03

Because she wanted her crumpet 'open'. The crumpet in question had been toasted, buttered and cut in half. 'Open' apparently didn't mean cut into quarters or cut in half horizontally. The suggestion of an entirely new crumpet was met with outrage. The feet drumming tantrum went on for 10 minutes until I gave up.

professionalnomad · 18/12/2022 10:42

Because she couldn't get the key in the door
Because she headbutted my husband and it hurt while he was carrying her
Because she pulled down the curtain rail in her bedroom
Becuase she only wanted to wear one welly

That was all before lunch today. She's 21 months. Help.

Moonshine160 · 18/12/2022 14:32

Because we hadn’t had a power cut that day. And because he discovered he has ankles.

BarbaraVineFan · 18/12/2022 14:37

Because my teeth are bigger than hers

TroubleOverBridgedWater · 18/12/2022 14:45

2 year old has a meltdown when I put my glasses on in the morning ( "GLASSES OFF!!")
I have been wearing the same pair all day, every day, for their entire life 🙄🤣

Crimsonripple · 18/12/2022 14:56

Current 3 year old meltdown because he wanted to colour but refused to get it his colouring book. Dad relented eventually and now he doesn't want to colour 🙄

CoalCraft · 18/12/2022 15:28

My DD asked me to put her shoes on, then cried after I did because she wanted daddy to do it 🤷

Yup, been there, complete with desperate attempts to put the biscuit back together followed by heartbroken crying.

My 3yo was upset today because the car window was wet (it was raising outside)

Tuttifrutti25 · 18/12/2022 18:36

Today my DC was upset because he couldn’t have the “lady’s paper” from the tv…. I had friends on in the background and he wanted Monica’s Clipboard from the episode with Phoebe’s wedding.

Scirocco · 18/12/2022 20:50

Not quite a toddler, but DC is definitely practising in preparation.

This evening, their current favourite dinner was served. This was terrible.

An alternative was offered. This was also terrible and there was much outrage until the original dinner was returned. DC then gave up on cutlery and just put their face in the bowl of food.

Then... There was a bath. Not being in the bath immediately was terrible. But then it turned out that being in the bath was also terrible. At the end of the bath, DC had to get out of the bath. This was terrible too.
