Hi.
Does anybody have experience of putting an older child up for adoption or know where I can get some guidance? Looking online hasn’t helped as it’s about being pregnant and wanting to set up an adoption. My child is two.

I don’t have Mum friends that could help, but Homestart was mentioned a few times on here and sounds like I should reach out at some point. I need to maybe try more groups until I find some people I can really gel with.

I'm in Scotland if you are near here? I know you don't know me but I would absolutely love to help you with your little one, even if it's to meet up for a coffee and a chat. I've been thinking about you all day😒 please don't give up. The fact you are even considering this means you are the best mum he could have. I know the days are hard. I still get them now, being a mummy is the hardest job. I know you can do it, there is help out there❤️

@Manamala I think I’ve been able to put a pin it the idea, due to all the comments on here. How I feel hasn’t improved much but just trying to get on with it

@lucie333 how sweet is your message ! But @Friendtopia I also feel the same and you're probably also helping other people as we can all relate how bloody hard it is! Where are you based I'm sure ( myself included ) people would be happy to help and support - having this kind of support may be exactly what you need x

Sorry to hear the way you’re feeling hasn’t improved. If you just try to get on with it, things won’t get better, they might even get worse.

I know you pushed yourself to contact some mental health support online which is great. I hope the wait isn’t too long. How about contacting something that can help you practically, like Homestart? You deserve to enjoy parenting not just survive it!

And looking into something you can do for yourself in the way of ‘self-care’? It is so vital to yours and your little one’s wellbeing.

Hi. Sorry I haven’t responded for a while.

A lot better now in terms of my initial crisis and train of thought. Can’t say I don’t still wish for things to be different, but I am trying to look how I can cope with my situation. I have been having some CBT which may/may not help, but just trying not to spiral and try and keep myself safe.
