2 kids 8years between
Wanted a big gap, but made slightly larger by miscarriage

Cats23 · 14/09/2022 16:25

My Dc now are ages 19,14,7,5 and A baby due next year.

rainbowsandstarshine · 14/09/2022 16:25

22 months between my two, hard work when they were babies but at least I was in baby mode, I could not imagine going back to the sleepless nights and nappies now we are out the other side. At 5 and 7 they are now best friends, have similar interests and entertain each other making my life easier!

2 years 5 months. They're 19 and 17 now. It's been perfect.

CoodleMoodle · 14/09/2022 16:34

4 years 4 months. Was easy at first, hard when DS started toddling around and was into eveything (namely all of DD's stuff!), now getting easier again at 8 and 4.

DiaryofWimpyMumm · 14/09/2022 16:36

4 years. 2 boys they don't get on well at all

Adelais · 14/09/2022 16:38

7 years. I quite like it though can be hard to find things to do to entertain them both.

whatthejuice · 14/09/2022 16:42

A couple of weeks shy of three years. It's been brilliant so far. We had ideally wanted a gap at some point between 2.5 and 3.5 years, so we feel very lucky.

Icecreamandapplepie · 14/09/2022 16:43

14 months then 18 months

3 under 3. Worth it.

Tisfortired · 14/09/2022 16:47

Will be 9 years and 3 months when DC2 is born in Jan! Feels like I’ll be having 2 only children.

Racingadmin · 14/09/2022 16:51

Only 10 months , 17days between my brother and I. Different school years luckily

17 months. I've always thought it was the perfect gap for me, even when they were babies. DS is now 17 and DD 15 and they are one school year apart.

YingMei · 14/09/2022 17:45

2 years 8 months. I wanted the gap a bit smaller but a miscarriage in between got in the way. They get in great though

Simonjt · 14/09/2022 17:51

Six and a half years, it would be nice if they were closer, but no control over what sort of age gap we’d have. It is however nice that my oldest can do things for himself when I’m knackered.

Kayjay2018 · 14/09/2022 17:52

16 years and 3 months between DS and DD

bigTillyMint · 14/09/2022 17:54

13 months!
Currently 2 and almost 1!

FiftyButNotThatNifty · 13/02/2023 12:08

3 and a half years . We were hoping for less but it wasn't meant to be . It has worked out well. A small enough gap for them to (just about) enjoy similar activities but big enough that we enjoyed each child separately . With child 2 we seemed to have time to look forward to witnessing the big life events like starting school for a second time ; it didn't all go by in a frantic blur like perhaps it might have done with a smaller gap.

But I think there are pros and cons of all age gaps and you make the most of what comes along .

MrsSamR · 13/02/2023 12:13

2 years 5 months - very much planned and perfect for us!
