Have I met my first child pervert?

Yesterday, I left and locked DS in the car to pay for petrol, when I came back he was laughing and smiling to someone so I looked around and there a man staring at DS, 21 months, licking his lips and really showing his tongue out doing so. Yesterday I found this weird now I?m disgusted and worrying that I?ve met my first child pervert.

We live in a friendly place and lots of people smile back at DS when he waves or smile at them but this feels different. And he never looked at me, which people usually do to show they?re just being friendly.

I feel sick thinking about it.

This sounds to me like some poor sod with learning difficulties- I'm sure all they need is more prejudice thrown at them!

Even supposing for the sake of argument that this had been a pervert who was getting a kick from seeing your son- not to mention the flying pig- how much harm would this actually have done the child? He was locked in the car, the man couldn't get at him, he was not subjected to any abuse and in fact no abuse could possibly take place.

I was once snarled at by a mother for grabbing her toddler just as he leapt out into the road. She was a few yards behind me, I was in full view on a busy shopping street and there is no way I could have got anywhere near doing anything sexual- but it seemed from her reaction that being defiled by my unclean touch on his arm would be a worse fate than being crushed by several tonnes of swiftly moving metal.
