Which baby was your biggest?

Just out of curiosity! Had ELCS at 39 weeks exactly due to babies position and they came out at a rather large 9lb 5oz!

Which didn’t really affect me as it was a planned c section, no struggle. I did just wonder if future babies would be bigger or is there no pattern?

Which one of your children was the biggest/was there any pattern?

DC1 6lb12 at 36 weeks
DC2 11lb4 at 41+2, born at home, no pain relief, no issues - much easier than the first! No GD etc either. Measured completely average throughout pregnancy.

Now expecting no3...

BertieBotts · 28/02/2022 11:58

I think they tend to get bigger, don't they? Mine did although DS2 and DS3 were very close in size.

NoSleepNoSleep · 28/02/2022 12:14

Girl 39+1 6lb 13
Boy 39+0 8lb 2.5
Boy 40+0 8lb 13

We are stopping at 3, the third was a horrible forceps birth which I'm still recovering from nearly a year on 😬!!

In general, yes. My second was only smaller because he was born almost 3 weeks earlier.

My grandma had 4 babies, started at 9lb8 and went up half a pound each baby! Shock

Hangingtrousers · 28/02/2022 12:38

3rd was my biggest 10lb 4 homebirth. Definitely last!

canyoutoleratethis · 28/02/2022 15:08

@LadyGardenersQuestionTime

DS1 8lbs exactly. DD2 9lbs 10oz. Home birth with home care all the way through, and I looked like I was about to pop from 6 months. The midwife said she found the home birth babies with small team care throughout were on the chunky side.
I had a homebirth and home care throughout my pregnancy with my DD - she came at 41+3 and was a rather small 6lb 7oz, so I'm not sure of the link between big babies and homecare? She's my first and currently my only.
Strawberry0909 · 28/02/2022 15:15

DS1 41+3weeks was 7lb 110z

My first was bigger than my second but they were both pretty big. Everyone told me my second would be bigger which scared me but luckily didn’t turn out to be true!
