Taking baby food shopping

Please don't judge but my baby is 8 months old and we have never been food shopping. I always go when DH is home or DH will go when he finishes work or we get it delivered. Mainly because I just want to avoid the faff of lugging everything etc.
But I really want to be able to do it now DS can sit in the infant seats part of shopping trolleys.
However my obstacle now is disinfecting the trolley safely. Especially with covid around...
How do you mums do this? I was thinking of taking dettol wipes and wiping over the trolley but they take forever to dry when I use them at home.
Any suggestions?

I just give it a quick spray with the antibacterial spray most supermarkets have. Can’t say I’m very concerned about trolley germs! Catching covid from surfaces was proven to be negligible earlier this year. You are FAR more likely to catch it from just being in the shop itself, covid is in the air!

Nursery disinfect toys cos babies chew everything & touch their bums & pick their noses & crawl all over the floor 😂
