My second was much smaller. DC1 9lb 4oz then DC2 7lb 12oz

Aug12 · 28/11/2021 21:03

Yea, my first was 7lb 5 and my second was 9lb 4

HerRoyalHappiness · 28/11/2021 21:03

My second was smaller than my first, but my third was the biggest by far!
DS1 8lb 12oz
DD 7lb 10.5oz
DS2 10lb 10.5oz

DD didn't grow for the last two weeks though, so she could have ended up bigger

First has 8lb
2nd was 9lb 5.
Worried about 3rd!

Macey78 · 28/11/2021 21:04

Yes first was 6lb 13 and second was 9lb 9!!!!!

Escapetothecounty · 28/11/2021 21:04

First born 37 weeks 6lb8oz. Second born 41 weeks 8lb6oz. But was estimated 6lb8oz at 37 week scan so think they were similar for compatible gestational ages.

Champersandchocolate · 28/11/2021 21:07

DD1 8lb 13oz
DD2 8lb 8oz

So no in this case second was smaller. Her labour was easy, 1 hour long and I barely pushed her out she just dropped into the world.

Notbornwithit · 28/11/2021 21:10

First 7lb 1oz 39 +0
Second 7lb 1.5 oz 39+1

happytoday73 · 28/11/2021 21:10

Yes... 2nd was 9lb 10 despite being over a week early and first was just over 9lb but late...
2nd baby was a much better birth despite that

fluffythedragonslayer · 28/11/2021 21:12

1st baby 8lb6
2nd baby 6lb11

ParkheadParadise · 28/11/2021 21:16

1st was 7lb 9oz
2nd was 6lb 5oz

hellcatspangle · 28/11/2021 21:16

No, second was over a pound lighter

newname1979 · 28/11/2021 21:23

DC1 was 8lbs 1 at 40 weeks on the button.
DC2 was 7lbs 15 at 38+5 so probably would have been about 8lbs 8 I reckon if it had been 40 weeks as well.

DebbieHarrysCheekbones · 28/11/2021 21:25

DS1 8.lbs 5oz at 41 weeks
DD 9 l s 8oz at 39 weeks
DS2 9lbs at 39 weeks

Paddingtonsmarmlade · 28/11/2021 21:27

7lb 5oz at 40+6
8lb 4oz at 41+4

So yes but second birth was considerably easier.

justaweeone · 28/11/2021 21:30

Firstborn 7 2 girl
Second 6 2 boy

MondeoFan · 28/11/2021 21:31

Yes
First 6lb 8
Second 7lb 13

careerchangeperhaps · 28/11/2021 21:32

Yes. DC1 was 7lb12oz at 40+12 and DC2 was 8lb6oz at 40+3

Greytminds · 28/11/2021 21:32

Yes. First 7lb 3oz (DD) and second 8lb 9oz (DS). I think it’s less about DS being a second baby though and more about his general size and physique compared with his petite sister.

Heruka · 28/11/2021 21:33

Me too, first 8lb, second 10lb 5. But she was 2 weeks late. And it was an amazingly easy and lovely birth. So don’t fear! You’ll be grand.

careerchangeperhaps · 28/11/2021 21:34

And DSis' babies were both born at the same gestation (T+3) and DN1 was 6lb10oz and DN2 was 9lb3oz!

yougottasmilesobright · 28/11/2021 21:34

Yeah by a pound. First one 8 days early and 2nd born on his due date

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 28/11/2021 21:35

1st was 8lb 11oz born at 41+6
2nd was 7lb 11.5oz born at 39+5

mnahmnah · 28/11/2021 21:35

First was 8lb 12. Second was 10lb 11. Hate to think what a third would have been…

SonicBroom · 28/11/2021 21:36

No, 2.5lb lighter (and only two weeks earlier so would never happen r reached same weight)
