Yes, but I don't have very big babies. All mine were born close to term and are all boys. In birth order they were 6lb 11, 8lb and 8lb 6.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 28/11/2021 21:38

#1 6lbs 13.5oz
#2 8lbs 12.5oz

iguanadonna · 28/11/2021 21:38

Yes, 3.9kg, 4.6kg. But second birth was much easier. Their size makes little difference.

Dc2 was 1 pound smaller. Both full term. But DC2 is a way smaller build than DC1, it turns out. DC1 usually tallest in his class, DC2 usually smallest.

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 28/11/2021 21:40

I bloody hope not, but its heading that way!

DS was 10lb 11, but at 41+11, currently 35 weeks with #2, so far measuring larger than DS, but I'll be getting induced, or maybe even a section as baby is still breech. Don't fancy trying to deliver a baby measuring well over the 97th centile bum first!

justnotnow1 · 28/11/2021 21:41

No but they were born a different dates. Dc2 was two weeks earlier than DC1 and was only 7lb2 compared with nearly 9lb. DC3 fell in the middle.

Greenhand · 28/11/2021 21:42

No 5lb6 , 4lb12 and 4lbs

AG1981 · 28/11/2021 21:44

1st 7lbs13
2nd 5lbs15
Both 40 + 5
Both girls
DD2 was probably growth restricted but is also generally petite

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 28/11/2021 21:45

DD1 - 8lb 6oz - 40+5
DD2 - 8lb 2oz - 40+2

So very similar weights. If DD2 had been born at 40+5, I reckon they’d have been almost identical weights.

Snugglemuffins4me · 28/11/2021 21:46

DD1 41+6 was 9lb10oz (emergency section). DD2 39+3 (section) 8lb14oz . Baby 3 due June .

lobsteroll · 28/11/2021 21:47

No, first was 8.8lb at 40+5
Second was 7.1lb at 42 weeks - I was pleasantly surprised! 🤣

Ahhhhhbisto · 28/11/2021 21:48

Ds1- 8.13 at 40+6
Ds2-10.1 at 41+6
Dd1-8.1at 40+6

mintich · 28/11/2021 21:48

DD1 8lb 3oz
DS2 7lb 15oz
DS3 9lb 3oz

blacc · 28/11/2021 21:48

DD was 9lb 9!
DS was expected to be bigger as I had a massive bump, but he was 6lb 12

ISaidDontLickTheBin · 28/11/2021 21:49

Yes but neither was massive, first was 7lb exactly and sencond was 8lb exactly! Both born at 39+1

BrilloSolar · 28/11/2021 21:50

Exact same size to the pound.

BettyOBarley · 28/11/2021 21:51

Mine were fairly similar - 8lb 13 and 9lb 2.
Although DC1 was 2 weeks overdue, DC2 a week over.

unluckyinlife · 28/11/2021 21:53

1st 37+4 5lb 2oz
2nd 41+1 7lb 7oz

Echobelly · 28/11/2021 21:54

Mine were both 7lb (delivered 2 weeks early, medical recommended c-section)

lalaandpo · 28/11/2021 22:01

1st - 9lb11 born at 40 + 12
2nd - 8lb 12 born at 40 + 13

november90 · 28/11/2021 22:14

My first boy was 9 lb 4 oz and my second was 9 lb 13 oz. He was a lockdown baby though and although I started out with the best intentions to eat really healthily, I was a full blown chocoholic by the end of my pregnancy!!! Ha ha. I think typically they do say that babies are born heavier/larger the second or third time etc, but like you I was very anxious about this and spoke to ALOT of parents and this just isn't always the case. I think to be honest there's not a lot that you can do about it, I think it's all to do with your genetics and pregnancy. Just try your best to not worry about it and trust that your baby will grow as big as they need to also in your tummy. Easier said than done, trust me I know!

NYNYNYNYNYNYNYNYNYNYNYNYN · 28/11/2021 22:16

1st - 8lb1oz at 41weeks
2nd - 9lb1oz at 41+3
3rd - 12lb at 37+2

EmilyEmmabob · 28/11/2021 22:57

1st 7lb 14oz
2nd 7lb 6oz

I was told my 2nd was going to be huge, I was dreading labour. It turned out to be a much easier labour and he was smaller.

Chely · 28/11/2021 22:58

Our 1st was our smallest and we've got a set of twins lol (2nd is our only boy)
1st was 7lb 7oz @ 39+6
2nd was 10lb 12oz @ 40+5
3rd was 9lb 10oz @ 40+2
4/5th twins were 8lb 5oz & 8lb 11oz @ 38
6th was 10lb 15oz @ 38+6
1st 3 vaginal births, bigger were easier than smallest. Latest 2 pregnancies were c-sections.

Appleseesaw · 28/11/2021 22:59

1st 7 14
2nd 8 8

Both born at a similar gestation. Second baby was much skinnier than the first.
