Fucking fireworks

Basically every other house around us seems to be setting off extremely loud fireworks tonight - just as my baby is going (or rather trying to go) to sleep. My pets are also terrified. I wish the sodding things would be banned for private displays - it’s so annoying and antisocial

Agreed. Lots of horses and dogs have been killed and injured. No doubt countless other animals. All for stupid fucking fireworks. Cunts.

DH used to be a pyrotechnician and he also thinks they should stick to professional displays. Most peoples gardens aren't big enough to allow for the distance required and people tend to ignore it. It is also not that hard for fireworks to topple over and shoot out in the wrong direction. I have seen that one first hand and it was terrifying.

Thanks @fedupwithfireworks - hopefully they are and there must have been so many people out (they were walking home from a professional display when it happened) that someone must have a number plate.

Very true.

I want a Canadian style ban, then fireworks are limited to the big hoildays. It not so much this weekend that bothers me but the random one that must be let off for fun by people that hang around in the park in the early hours of the morning.
