ok, I am reasonably experienced but my knowledge is slightly out of date.

my ideal nappy is...

microfibre absorbancy bit (for quick dry), encased completely in fleece (to keep bum dry),
not a stuffable pocket (because I don't like them),
ideally velcro fastening
.

does this nappy exisit?

if yes, where can I buy them from?

I'm ok with wraps, I like motherease poppers

thank you

I have just found these, what do you think?

theFlyingEvil · 10/12/2007 21:44

Lollipop Softees. fab.

thenewgirl · 10/12/2007 21:54

flying, do the lollipop softees have a fleece liner sewn in? (like fluffles do)

Little Lamb Microfibre are thinner fitting but just as, if not more, absorbant than fluffles according to my best (nappy addicted) buddy who has just tried them.

They aren't fleece inside and out though...but if you can't find any that are then they might be worth considering (covered with a fleece wrap maybe?)

hmmm..thinking as I type, not sure the little lamb are fully fleece lined inside either...never mind me

thenewgirl · 10/12/2007 21:57

It's the thought that counts coby!

I do like the look of little lamb though

Softees have no fleece liner (just checked my nappy trial kit ). They're still nice though .

thenewgirl · 10/12/2007 22:00

that was helpful coby don't run away!

OP posts:
theFlyingEvil · 10/12/2007 22:01

beat me to it! no they don't. but the fluffy liner does a similar job, or you can always grab yourself a fleecy blanket for a couple of quid and cut that up to make some liners?

thenewgirl · 10/12/2007 22:06

I used to do that with my onelife nappies but I find it quite hard as my lo's are the wiggly types! I need a nappy I can whip on in seconds, standing up, as the refuse to lie down too. little monkeys.

the tend to get sore bots without fleece

okcokey how about a Lollipop microfleece? i lurve them v much (and no i don't work for them ). totally made of fleece with velcro fastening. practically touch dry straight out the machine

coby · 10/12/2007 22:16

Are the lollipop microfleece any good then? I have one in my trial kit and my first hand over tomorrow and have no idea what to say about it. I wouldn't have thought them to be very absorbant at all?

theFlyingEvil · 10/12/2007 22:18

probably better for babies that do loads of little tiddles rather than one big weeeeeeeeee but i've used mine overnight no probs

coby · 10/12/2007 22:22

sounds good for a newborn then - thanks

theFlyingEvil · 10/12/2007 22:25

are you a council nappy worker or something? sounds intriguing...

coby · 10/12/2007 22:39

hee hee...I haven't been intriging for years (if ever ).

No I volunteer for my county's real nappy project - I'm hoping it is going to be a creative channel for my nappy addcition and stop me buying lots of nappys myself (and making far too many posts on threads like this one)

It's very exciting - I have two bucketfuls of loads of different nappy types to play with

coby · 10/12/2007 22:41

durr... nappys = nappies (lack of sleep, sorry)

thenewgirl · 11/12/2007 11:49

have just ordered a micro from lolipop to road test it.
will let you know how I get on with it!
thank you x
