When did your newborn smile

My little one has just turned 6 weeks I’m eagerly awaiting her first proper smile. She was born at 39 + 4. Just wondering when your little ones gave that first beautiful not wind related smile!

11 weeks bud she was 5 weeks early and hits all her milestones 5 weeks ish later so corrected 6 weeks. It will come soon and if is the best!!

5 weeks for our little boy, so should be very soon for you

Oh and he was 40+5

10 weeks, it makes it all so much easier when they do.

I honestly cannot remember for any of my 3.

DS1 was born at 39+2 and first smiled at 6 weeks.

Hoping it’s soon. I’m sure she’s sick of me trying to make her smile ha! .

Looking back, I think it was 6 weeks but it was a gradual thing for us... Her smile gradually got bigger until I was like 'yup, definitely a smile'. But at the time I was expecting that one day she'd just suddenly smile. For us, it was just more gradual.

8 weeks for my DS. He was 40+5.

Ds1 was 4 weeks. Ds2 was 8.5 weeks. Seemed to be the wrong way round as ds1 was a miserable bugger who spend 99% of the time he was awake screaming until he was 12 weeks whereas ds2 was very chilled and contented!

At 4 weeks but she was born 2 weeks late.

My middle didnt smile properly until about 12 weeks! He was 3 weeks early and a very serioo baby

Just looked back at photos and it was 6 weeks exactly - so crooked and hilarious 😂 hope you don't have to wait much longer!

12 weeks

First born at 42 weeks smiled at 4 weeks.
Second born 41 weeks smiled at 5 weeks.
Current 12 week old born at 38+6 smiles at 5 weeks.

Both of mine were born at 39 weeks (give or take a day)
DS1 - 11 weeks
DS2 - 5 weeks

8 weeks. He was born at 37 weeks exactly.

Grinning by 7 weeks so must have been doing smaller smiles a little before. Born at 39+2. Won't be long

4 weeks and was almost 2 weeks overdue

She was 6 weeks. Was born at 37+5

6 weeks to the day. Massive grin then giggling at 12 weeks

DS1 - exactly 1 month old.
coincidentally it was the first day that I was alone with him all day as DH went back to work and my mum left the day before.

As I was changing his nappy after his nap he gave me a huge, ear to ear smile!
it made me cry, because I had been so nervous about being on my own, him smiling felt as if he was encouraging me, as he was saying "you are doing well mum, you got this!"

I don't remember with the others, all around 4- 6 week mark

Ds1 3 weeks (but he was 2 weeks late)
DS2 4 weeks (1 week late)
Ds3 11 days (born on his due date, but he turned out to be super bright)
Dd 6 weeks (born at 37 weeks)
