Does it look like my little princess will have red hair

My baby is 4 months old. She doesn’t have too much hair at all, myself and her dad are both dark haired and our baby girl looks reddish to me? Her dad thinks strawberry blonde? Just wanted to see others opinion? Will our little lady grow into full red hair or is it to early to tell at this stage as I heard people saying hair colour can change. And just to add no matter what hair colour our daughter ends up with it’ll be beautiful. Thanks 😊

Impossible to say at this point I think. My dd was born with dark hair and now at 3 it's very blonde!

xMandy31x · 19/02/2021 13:51

@HappyTimeTunnelDinosaur you are right I was born with jet black hair then went blonde as toddler and then dark brown so I guess it’s too early to tell. It’s funny how hair colour can go through many changes. Is it the same with eye colour can that change to?

She's very fair isn't she! Her eyebrows and lashes too. Really pretty colouring. It could change of course, but I think her hair does have a subtle reddish/strawberry blonde tint to it at the moment.

Difficult to tell! I assumed I would have redheaded children but mine had similar colouring to your DD and now they're both very blonde. My friend had a DD with a shock of gorgeous dark red hair when she was a baby and now it's lightened to a very pale strawberry blonde. I think if she was going to be a redhead it would be more obvious at this stage, but you never know! I also have 2 nephews who were blond babies but are now dark, hair is so weird Smile

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 19/02/2021 14:04

My younger DD was born with jet black hair and bluey grey eyes. She down went white blond as a toddler, before darkening again to light brown.
Elder DD has dark brown hair that has a reddish tinge. Her first hair (at a year old) was dark blonde/light brown.

They can change so much.

AliasGrape · 19/02/2021 14:06

My 6.5 month old has similar colour hair (what little she does have!) and I do think she will probably have her dad's colouring which is kind of reddish. However her eyelashes are really dark so who knows?

FWIW her dad and I were both very blonde as children, he now has reddish hair, I'm brunette (naturally - I do mix it up via a bottle fairly often though). My brother was bright white blonde till about 3 then his hair gradually darkened to black.

You’re a bit obsessed with this OP. It’s the second or third thread you’ve posted asking about strawberry blonde hair on your baby. Relax! It will be whatever it is.

Starlive23 · 19/02/2021 14:16

Yes looks red to me, looks lovely.

Laila747 · 19/02/2021 14:18

Looks exactly the same colour as my DD hair was at that age. It’s now as blonde as can be with no trace of red...

WannabemoreWeaver · 19/02/2021 14:23

My hair was very blonde in real life but looks red in a lot of photos. My hairdresser said I have a lot of red pigment but I have never looked like a red head. Apart from when I dyed my hair red!

Chaotica · 19/02/2021 14:29

DD had hair this colour as a baby. Now she has much darker, almost brownish blond hair with a hint of red in it. Definitely not strawberry blond. I think it is too soon for you to tell.

Exactly what I was thinking 🤔
goldielockdown2 · 19/02/2021 14:31

It's that generic baby hair colouring at the minute, it will darken.
The set of photos in your last thread showed obvious cradle cap which made the colour look reddish

If it helps I was blonde until age five, then went red. Stil behave like a blonde apparently Grinlol.

Agreed. It’s like she’s terrified of having a ginger kid. So sad.
Dartsplayer · 19/02/2021 14:40

My son was born with bright ginger hair, then went blonde then as he got older he's now got brown hair

ReggieKrait · 19/02/2021 14:45

Very hard to say!

I predict that it might turn light brown. I’m a redhead, as is my daughter. We are very fair and were both bald until we were two. My son is four months and also still bald.

If the eyebrows and eyelashes are gingery/pale that’s often a good prediction!

Bouncealot · 19/02/2021 14:48

Princess. Little lady. Enough said.

MsMiaWallace · 19/02/2021 14:52

No. Not red. Fair/mousey

mynameiscalypso · 19/02/2021 14:54

My DS has red hair. It's always been very red. When he was born (ELCS, screen up), the anaesthetists turned to us and said 'Just checking, you did expect him to have red hair didn't you?'. Which we did thankfully!

AndreaMartelsCoat · 19/02/2021 14:57

Is this the 3rd time you've posed this question? Wasn't the last one deleted?

merryhollybright · 19/02/2021 14:58

I don't mean to sound unkind, but why is it bothering you so much? You've posted about it before, and you've said you'll like it whatever colour it is... so does it matter what people on the internet think?

gingercatsarebest · 19/02/2021 15:02

I LOVE RED HAIR! It's seriously lovely.

I have to admit that I don't understand the repeated posting of this baby's hair.
It's impossible to know how they'll turn out; my hair certainly never reverted to black.

She'll be lovely whatever, along the lines of "There's only one most beautiful baby in the world and every mother has it".

Cradle cap was mentioned a lot in the last thread: that seems to have cleared up really well.

JackieWeaverIsTheAuthority · 19/02/2021 15:04

I’m wondering if there is a question over paternity and OP is trying to guess the answer by hair colour.
