Baby TV (no judgement please)

So I have a 4 month old who has started getting very busy, so much so that one day I tried some baby TV to help settle her whilst I did some housework.
I popped the TV on and put the first kids thing that came up on Prime - Bing.

Why, oh why, oh why did it have to be Bing.
He is a whiny little prick and I have so much pent up anger towards him and the knitted ballsack of a father/carer/social worker.

So here’s my dilemma...DD LOVES bing. Like she is obsessed.
My question is what are the good kids tv programs? Which ones can I gently move her into and away from the annoying bellend black rabbit.

Thanks 🤣

*The Clangers and Twirlywoos! Are they still on?yup.

Oh o loved Nelly and Nora, used to be on CBebeies, very gentle nice sisterly shown.

Also love Abney and Teal and Tinga Tinga Tales which are like funny Aesop's fables

Twizbe · 13/12/2020 13:42

CBeebies - you can just leave that running if you need. No adverts which is a blessing as they get older.

Favourites in our house
The baby club
Sarah and duck
Bing
Jo jo and gran gran
Tinpo
Swashbuckle
Magic hands
Hey Duggee
Peter rabbit
Alphablocks and number blocks

She really doesn't need tv at that age 🙄 but if you're determined, I suggest a Baby Einstein dvd.

No body NEEDS TV at any age. That's not the point.

Ooh Baby Club fans, Gi and the man whose name escapes me are doing a new series - Toddler Club with two new teddies

CountryGirl36 · 13/12/2020 20:10

Thanks for the judging @tenlittlecygnets, like I said, move along, judgy comments are not welcome here thanks 🙄 Go back to your baby Einstein (which ironically is still tv but la la la)

It's an open forum. You don't get to dictate how people respond, @CountryGirl36 🙄

And if you read my post, I said 'if you were determined for your baby to watch TV then I recommended Baby Einstein'. I know it's TV -what's your point? 🙄

Baby Einstein Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 14/12/2020 09:04

Hey, no one is allowed to judge Baby Einstein TV, it's awesome. And this is coming from someone who can recite most Timmy Time episodes and have the costume, book and toys!

Sparkabilites and super simple songs still get me through most days with a one and a two year old!

SatsumaInMyStocking001 · 14/12/2020 22:48

It's gotta be Olobob Top! My daughter loves it, on iPlayer

Effsee · 14/12/2020 23:26

Super simple songs on Youtube or Prime. My daughter LOVES the songs, and it keeps her distracted and calm while I quickly do chores around the house. I find them to be quiet educational and fun for her. I hum them to her when she's upset or when I try get her to sleep and it works a treat.
Me and my partner probably know every song word for word now 🤣

Baby Einstein on YouTube :)

BirdyBee · 14/12/2020 23:40

My 8 month old loves the film Rio, he sits there mesmerized by those bright birds and loves the music!

Itsnoteasyfeelingqueasy · 15/12/2020 07:46

My baby like any video by “songs for littles” on you tube.

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 16/12/2020 09:15

My DS absolutely loves little baby bum. When he cries in the carseat the only thing that soothes him is if I sing 5 little ducks 🥴😂
He also loves hey bear, the dancing fruits is his fave.

rainbowcakes · 16/12/2020 09:21

Another vote for Little Baby Bum here. My 19 month old loves it but be warned the songs will be in your head on a constant loop! Me and DH find ourselves singing them when DD is in bed or in childcare 🤣

I recently discovered that all of the LBB songs (and theres A LOT) are on Spotify. Absolute game changer when trying to keep DD entertained in the car (although doesnt do much for my sanity.... worth it if it stops her whinging on a long drive 😄)
