Here miss!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/09/2007 17:52

I thought that some of the others might be getting a little fed up with all the nappy chat!

I used my wonderoo pocket today with a couple of boosters in and it did really well. Not entirely sure about pocket nappies as a whole though!

good bargain on the fuzzis btw.

Can I ask a question? Expecting unexpected No. 4 baby and gave away all my newborn/ickle baby wraps. So what wraps should I buy, new, to go over terries, muslins or prefolds?

Interested in this thread?

Hee hee I can sneak in too. Pg with no 3, but sold off all my newborn nappies once dd moved into the next size, so now I have to buy more

In 5 years of washables though I've still not found a wrap better than motherease, everything else is just second best, but I'm looking for a change.

I'm a totsbots mum at heart, but could definitely be persuaded to defect if the right nappy came along

sputnik · 11/09/2007 18:27

I've said it before and i'll say it again: Motherease wraps go with anything

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2007 19:03

Yup, motherease wraps are still perfect, although the bambinex ones have much softer bindings so are perfect for newborns (they are only in white though).

I like pockets for their convenience, but I don't trust them as much as a 2 part combo

trendaverter · 11/09/2007 19:47

ok I have played with slinki minkis now, and they aren't bad really.

Contained poo ok, bulky (but that obviously depends on what you stuff them with).
Last DS about 2 hours depending on stuffing - but DS is a heavier wetter than a randy dog and a lamppost so that's to be expected!

Quick drying time - pegged out the same time as a t-shirt, the nappy was dry before the shirt!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/09/2007 20:42

I recently bought a nature babies wrap, and DD is at the small end of the scal. I was sceptical, but it seems to be doing the job so far.

bobsmum, I've got some of the old style little lambs (no fleece lining) and can't fault them on containment of explosive poo. They only do applix though.

and i luuuurve my easy peasy bimble (but alas getting too small) and bambinex bamboo.

bumhuggers great for overnight, although hemp seems to be one of things that you either love or hate.

Oooh, can I join!

"I too am obsessed with washable nappies and LOVE my Motherease wraps"

Anyone using washables at night? I am a bit of a cowardy custard and have been using NatureBaby disposables at night, but feel I ought to go for it soon. Any tips? DD2 is 9 weeks old. I'm using Motherease onesize and terries during the day, but if anyone rates another type for overnight, i@d love the excuse to buy some new shiny nappies!

Bodkin · 11/09/2007 21:10

X-post with you there, Daisy - Bumhuggers you say eh? Will do some research.... where did you get yours from?

loonylovegood · 11/09/2007 21:17

I use a pre fold as a booster at night and haven't had a leak yet!!

I love my Diddy Diapers and Little Lambs, they are really trim and non bulky. The Little Lambs wraps are fab-great for containment! I do love my Rikki wrap though!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/09/2007 21:18

I got some of the old style ones (no pocket) second hand and was v impressed so bought some new ones from naturegreenbaby (?)

the new ones have pockets and a pull out soaker. Put a medium on my 14 week old DD and bits of it were still dry after 12 hours. v.v.v impressed.

You can buy direct from Ella's House or shop around for a cheaper deal.

Set up your own paypal daisy, sell some stuff on ebay and use the proceeds for nappy buying! It's win win...declutter and buy nappies...HOORAY!!

I am allowed to buy nappies as ds will be out of the first size soon and I only have 2 or 3 of the next size!

Haave you been browsing looking for nappies all evening? Is that why the PN thread is quiet?
