Be honest - how hard is it to go from 1 child to 2?!

I am due DC2 next week and am bewildered as to how I am going to manage! I think partly because there will be a 5 year gap between DC and also DD is used to being an only child for nearly 5 years. How did you cope getting DC1 ready for nursery/school with newborn LO etc? Any tips!?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It's not a question of double the work. It's exponential. 4X the work!!

frazzledbutcalm · 01/09/2007 21:45

4x the work, is that all??? It feels much more!! lol

And don't forget the worry. That's exponential too

And the happiness!

Its great though, isnt it? Despite all my hair raising moments, screeching so loud i can smash windows, talking to myself as no-one else listens, making tea that no -one eats ...... I love being a mum to 4 kids.

And I love being a mum to 2. If I were younger and had more money, I'd have another. Even though they drive me completely bonkers. Seriously.

Nothing helpful to add except to say that I am in exactly the same boat and having the same worries, helenelisabeth. I am due for a c-section next Thursday and DD1 starts school 4 days later. She was actually due to start school on the exact day of my c-section, but I got the school to agree to her starting a week late. Good luck!!!
