Hi all, just a bit of fun, but have your kids said/seen creepy things?

My daughter has terrified me in the past in the dark at bedtime with "that man behind you" and has now described in great detail a creature that actually has me nervous too...

Is it just my daughter?!?

Mines pretty tame compared to these (thankfully)
When I was younger I had an imaginary friend that was a particular animal and a particular name.
I’ve never mentioned it to my ds 3 as there’s no way I could even begin to explain what an imaginary friend was to a 3 year old.

A few months ago he was giggling and talking to someone when I asked who he said his ‘pretend friend’ so I said what’s a pretend friend and he said a friend only he could see.

I asked who his pretend friend was and he gave the exact name and type of animal that my imaginary friend was when I was his age.
It’s not really a common animal or name for that matter so it definitely made me feel a little bit weirded out.

@Aragog we are currently in the middle of this with DD who is 5. It's so unnerving, we live in a Victorian detached house that used to be the neighbourhood scary house, all the kids would dare each other to look in the windows etc.

In the dead of night when she is screaming and staring/trying to get away from a fixed corner of the room it is a little too much!

Side note - I think you may have just helped me try find a pattern to it. It's not every night, but being excited/over tired etc does seem to make a rough pattern, so thank you!

DD (2.5 at the time) was very very poorly with pneumonia not long after I lost my mum. We were in hospital where mum died and she had a mask on to help her breathe. She was pretty out of it because she had a very high temperature. She suddenly perked up a bit, sat up, removed her mask and said, "Oh! Where did Nanny go?" I don't really believe in that sort of thing but it freaked me out a bit. If mum could've been there she really would have been watching that day. She was desperate to be around a bit longer to watch DD grow up Sad

My dd(10) has talked about how she sees scary shadows, “orbs” and beautiful lights and beings that talk to her(mentally) for as long as I can remember. Sometimes she has sobbed away when I have tried to make her go To even the other side of our room saying she can’t go because there’s something bad there. But today something different happened. Bear in mind we live in another country and dd has been to many funerals but has not experienced anything like this at other funerals. I went with her to a funeral parlor to pay my respects. The body was there in an open coffin. Chatted to the dead lady’s son and left. As soon as we were outside dd said she saw the dead lady lift out of her body and that it came and stood in between us while I was talking to her son about the his mother. DD said she looked ugly/scary. She said that after a while when we stopped talking about her, the lady disappeared but dd has seen out of the corner of her eye (where the body was) sparks and fire. While there, she did keep whispering let’s go but I assumed she was just wanted to go home.😳

My son once came and told me that there was a helicopter on its way to the beach because the man had a sore arm.
I was sat with him in the room at the time. He was about 3 or 4.
We were in my bedroom, no tv or radio on, no ipad or anything. I thought it was strange but about 4 minutes later I picked my phone up and our local gossip page on Facebook was going nuts, there was an air ambulance on its way to the beach in our town and the man had broken his arm and was stuck.
Ds had no way of knowing this at the time. It was impossible
