Creepy things your children have said...

Hi all, just a bit of fun, but have your kids said/seen creepy things?

My daughter has terrified me in the past in the dark at bedtime with "that man behind you" and has now described in great detail a creature that actually has me nervous too...

Is it just my daughter?!?

When 3-ish DD would always tell me that people die in ambulances whenever we saw one. I would agree and say they did but would reinforce that paramedics help people, they rush them to hospitals and so not everyone dies. Weeks and weeks this went on until I finally said “who told you that people die in ambulances?” DD replied “the little girl in my room, she died in one”

I was putting my 2 year old to bed , went back to the living room
And I head him giggling his head off , went back to his bedroom and asked him what he was laughing and he replied 'that clown in the hall' safe to say I didn't sleep that night 😂😂😂😂

My dd told me that I am not her only mum. She said that I am her second mum, and that her first mum was called Isobelle!

My DD isn't talking yet only 11 month olds, but always so interested in these stories hence following.
@whyareyoucrying that's fascinating x

The boy who lives in our old house who was about 3 at the time, woke his mummy up to say "there is a soldier in my bedroom" and quite frequently talks about "When I was a soldier" - DH's grandad has been seen a few times in that bedroom by guests who stayed with him, didn't know the grandad and pointed him out in a family photo ages later, then shared the story. And, you guessed it, he was a soldier in the war.

We took DH's son for a haircut in someone's house and were sitting at the table waiting his turn, he asked to go to the loo so I took him, when we came back he said "where's that lady gone who was sitting at the table" - and it was only us two there!

These are great!
My friend told me a good one - his youngest brother was a sleepwalker and once went into his parents bedroom when he announced he'd killed one of his brothers- with a big creepy smile! His parents were so freaked out that they leapt out of bed to check everyone was alive!

Rorymum · 07/08/2018 22:22

I am not going to sleep tonight! What incredible stories! Some of them I have found deeply disturbing... Shock

DS went to a church preschool and came home asking all about heaven. He then said " I've been to hell, I was there before I came into your tummy"

makeitso · 07/08/2018 23:10

Takfujimoto that has given me goosebumps. Scary ShockShock

DD used to tell me about her "previous family". It was creepy.

Phoenix76 · 07/08/2018 23:24

When dd1 was 4 and I was kissing her good night she told me that when she was in the sky she was asked by the man who she wanted as her mummy and she chose me, she said when she opened her eyes as a baby and saw my face she was so happy she got the right one, no idea where that came from

lovestea1 · 08/08/2018 07:09

@Phoenix76 aw I love that story x

MellowMelly · 08/08/2018 11:09

Yes @Phoenix76!!

My friend has a little boy and he said the same thing to her!
He said he was shown some ‘Mummys’ to choose from and he chose her as she was funny and kind. Then he said that after he chose her he ended up in her tummy and he is happy he picked her.

My eldest DS always said quite scary stuff when he was younger and it’s starting to rub off on his brothers.

When the twins were first born DS1 would never go into their nursery as he said there was a man who watched over their cots and he was scared of him. It went on for ages until we were looking through a family photo album and found a picture of my great grandad, he said that was the man who was in the twins rooms.

Once we were all sat with my family and my son came in and told us the little boy in the sky wanted to play with him but he wasn’t allowed and I had to say it was okay. I crapped myself but my husband said he could play with him. A couple of weeks later I went upstairs and DS1 was talking to someone, I asked who and he said Matthew, the boy in the sky, he looks like him and is ten. My dads brother died at age ten and we’ve always said he looks a lot like DS1.

We were driving home in the dark one night and as we turned around a corner DS2 started screaming “stop! The man!” We slammed on the breaks and asked what was wrong and he said we nearly ran over a man but it’s a okay he’s smiling at him through the window now.

We were walking by an old battlefield when dS3 was about 20months old and he suddenly started crying, we asked what was wrong and he said all the boys are screaming

lovestea1 · 08/08/2018 14:03

@WickerHippo incredible it really makes you wonder, stuff beyond just imagination here x

WickerHippo · 08/08/2018 14:05

Forgot to mention dads brother was also called Matthew

MummytoCSJH · 08/08/2018 14:33

My Dad unfortunately committed suicide when I was 6. We moved out of that house quite soon after as my mum couldn't really cope with it. I've recently moved into a house in the same village, and sometimes we go past the house to get home depending on which way we are going. I have a silent thought for myself every time of course, but I've never mentioned it to my DS (4). One day he was staring at the house for ages and didn't want to walk. I asked what was wrong and he said 'nothing, your daddy loves you'. It was very odd as he doesn't even call his own dad Daddy. Another time, he asked why we 'left my Daddy in the loft'. You guessed it... My Dad died in the loft. I don't walk that way with DS anymore, it freaks me out too much! Nice to know he's looking over me though.

I love that Phoenix76, not creepy at all, really very sweet.

Don't worry Coffeemeanslife & Makeitso we come into a windfall and moved the year after.
We did switch rooms with DS though and put up a black out blind so we could avoid the view of headstones before bed.🙈

My nearly three year old is deaf and I was putting him to bed the other night and he signed ‘you won’t be here in the morning’ and completely deadpanned honestly it was the most unnerving thing I have ever seen.

I’ve been working away recently and I think he’s picked it up from that but my god, it creeped me out!

I love these stories. My brother when he was quite young, maybe 2 or younger, often used to say “I want to go home” which we all found quite odd. A few of these stories allude to reincarnation!

SingingMyOwnSpecialSong · 08/08/2018 21:23

I was having a lovely winters walk in the woods with nearly 3-year-old DD one afternoon. She stopped dead behind me and said calmly "All I can see is the darkness." Laughed that off only for her to follow it a couple of minutes later with. "But mummy, I thought you were buried underground!" She wasn’t really aware of it at the time but there is a burial ground in the woods about half a mile from where we were. I walked home quite quickly.

Phoenix76 · 08/08/2018 22:43

@lovestea1 thank you!
@MellowMelly wow I got goosebumps then! She said it with such conviction and emotion not at all like she does when she’s telling her imaginary stories.
I love these stories.
takfujimoto Thank you, I did feel really strange when she said it, her face looked different for a moment, it’s hard to explain, but yes it was lovely! Just hope she never feels she made the wrong choice!

villainousbroodmare · 08/08/2018 22:51

Aaargh. That's all.
