I am so cross at my daughter's ex..

in fact I am 'tamping' as they say round here.

He put a post on his FB, about transgender people, which was bound to upset some people, offensive stuff. So my 'live and let live' daughter put some comment like 'it's 2018 you know'.
Then he puts the comment 'fuck off you loose Polish cunt' (her dad is Polish and she has a Polish surname).

the reason why they finished , from my view, is that he refused to use a condom, she had a pregnancy scare which his parents found out about first, he dumped her. At the time, she was gutted. I know how upset she was because I had to comfort her....

He blocked my FB around that time. I have an emergency account that I use :) so I went on that, and saw all the comments...what really riled me is that his friends and new gf had put laughing faces etc.

I was so angry that I told him to take it down. He said 'fuck you'.

OMG I am so glad that she and this waste of space have finished.

I have screenshotted it all. I am still angry now. It was over 2 years ago ffs.

Back then, his parents used to look down their noses at me, a bit, (although his mother is a good woman) - being a poor single mother n a crummy house with depression, unruly kids etc.

At least neither of my children would act like that..

What should I do next? nothing>?

btw this is what life is like for teen girls these days.

He only called her a 'Polish cunt' because she has refused to send 'nudes', repeatedly.

I wouldn't do anything, he sounds like a tosser and your daughter has had a lucky escape getting out of a relationship with him. It was 2 years ago.. maybe he's grown up a bit, maybe he's still a tosser ... but he's not in your daughter's life, so I'd leave it.

Derekmorganwasinmybed · 04/06/2018 16:27

what Should you do next ? Nothing it was 2 years ago,let it go and be pleased your daughter is no longer with him

...perhaps not clear from my ranting post,, but he put that comment 'loose Polish cunt' on Saturday last.

Yet when he saw my dd's twin brother recently, he nearly shit his pants and was falling over himself to assure TB that there was no problem...

Block him then he can’t message you

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:31

oh he blocked me ages ago. I use a 'spare' FB account for these moments.

Kids these days have no respect because they can do what ever they like and get away with it. I dread my DD getting to teenage years what it will be like for her.

OakIsBetterTho · 04/06/2018 16:32

Why don't you just block him? Why are you and your daughter getting involved in his bullshit dramatics?

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:35

..because he called her a 'loose Polish cunt'.

is that not racist? Would you like your daughter to be called that, on what is essentially a public noticeboard?

I am not involved with this with my real FB, as I said.

OP posts:
MyKingdomForBrie · 04/06/2018 16:35

You and your dd need to block him on everything. I’m surprised her DB didn’t question him a little more closely about his approach to her but still. Not nice ex boyfriends should not be Facebook friends.

Winebottle · 04/06/2018 16:44

Just leave it.

You were both looking a confrontation and you got one. Your daughter didn't have to enter into an argument with him on FB. She could have blocked him or ignored his status.

He is running a bit of a risk by referencing a nationality in his public insults but it is just a petty argument between kids.

You decided to involve yourself so I don't think you can have any complaints at being told to fuck off.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:45

" He is running a bit of a risk by referencing a nationality in his public insults but it is just a petty argument between kids."

just 'bantz' is it? She is nearly 20, he is 18.

OP posts:
FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:47

Anyway guess what he has now taken it down. I screenshotted it and sent to his parents. :)

OP posts:
OakIsBetterTho · 04/06/2018 16:48

No, course it is and it's a horrible thing to say, but what are you realistically hoping to achieve by engaging with him? He's likely to remain ignorant and vile. I just think it would be healthier to just eradicate him from your life.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 04/06/2018 16:49

Fgs you all sound ridiculous. Tell your DD to grow up and delete her ex off FB if she can’t resist commenting on his status updates. Sounds like you all love the drama.

Winebottle · 04/06/2018 16:52

It's a meaningless insult said by an 18 year old in anger. Why do you care?

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:52

no I do NOT 'love the drama' and nor does she.
What would you think if your daughter was called 'cunt'? would you really?
I have told him to defriend and block her.

OP posts:
FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:53

I care because FB is essentially public, and it was humiliating for her.

OP posts:
ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo · 04/06/2018 16:54

How about telling her to block him? Hmm

And yes you both went Looking for drama by looking in his page.

ParellelReality · 04/06/2018 16:56

The only people I know with 'spare' FB accounts are the type to love all the drama.

As we see here.

MyKingdomForBrie · 04/06/2018 16:56

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with minding - it was a disgusting thing to say. You can’t control him though, all you can control is his access to your/your dd’s online world. You’ll never make him admit he was wrong or nasty except by intimidation which you wouldn’t want to sink to.

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:57

oh of course I told her to block him.
Yes I had a look, because she had told me what he had put.
Snivelling little....

OP posts:
MyKingdomForBrie · 04/06/2018 16:57

Haha oh I didn’t see your second bit - good call telling his mum on him Grin

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 04/06/2018 16:57

thanks but I really don't 'love drama'.
