When did you have baby no.2?

Exactly as the title suggests, when did you have baby no.2? How old was your first one?

LO is a few weeks from 1, just trying to figure out when to start trying for no.2. I’ve always wanted 2 close in age, but the thought of 2 under 2 scares me, is it really that much more difficult?

We're due DC2 in July. DD will be 4.4 when he's born - we've got the 6 week holidays together and then she's off to primary school in Sept.

We tried for a year before I got pregnant again but I think (hope!) the 4 year gap will be okay.

There is just under two years between my children and it's worked so well. They are now nearly 5 and nearly 3 so do fight occasionally but majority of the time get on so well. I think whenever you decide to have a second baby it'll be hard regardless of the age gap. Where my boy was still quite young when we had our daughter he didn't really get jealous, he just went with the flow.

We have a 2yr 8mth gap, which was really tough for the first 6mths (older child cooped up after my surgery and not at nursery yet), but it’s fine now as he understands more (he’s not 3 and a half. Friends who’ve had 2 under 2 sort of disappear for a few months as having 2 babies is tough, but now lots of friends have a 3yr old and 2yr old and really enjoy that they play together and are similar stages with similar interests.

My kids are 26 months and 4 months. It's bloody hard work, but at least we'll have the baby and toddler phases over quickly.

4 minutes between my first and second!

15 month age gap between the first 2. It's bloody hard! Decided to leave a larger gap for the next.
They are 5 and 4 now and it's great. Also have a 20 month old. They all get on. It's the family I always dreamed of.

4.5 years and they are thick as theives at 6 and 2 you don't need a small gap for closeness.

I got to really enjoy the baby stage with both since ds1 was at school by the time ds2 came along.
