What are your children paddying over today?

My DD (almost 2) didn't want to go in to the pram to toddler group so i let her walk. 5 mins from the house. After we left toddler group i took her to the shop for a treat. She then screamed because i only let her get one thing. She then fell over because she was paddying so much! Que a 5 minute walk that turned in to a 20 minute walk with constant screaming, throwing her self on the floor and demanding to be carried ( which i can't because of SPD). I was getting the most awful looks from people walking past and even one women stopped me. I told her off in the end which caused more screaming and paddying. She's now laid on the sofa with her blanket sulking and i feel like a bad mummy!

Ah the days...I have carried my dd under my arm legs flailing and my cheeks burning many a time. Anyway today my ds (8) had a panic attack before school because his hair was sticking up at the back and nothing would make it go down. He was convinced he would be teased for looking as though he had an aerial on his head when they were due to sketch each other in Art!?!? Dh hair paste had to be used in the end. I did get cross as time was ticking and I still feel bad now...it never ends!!

@sagegreen I'm glad I'm not the only one. I do feel abserloutly awful and think the telling off maybe wasn't necessary and i should of just put up with the pain of my SPD and carried her. BUT i don't want her to think she can get away with that type of behaviour. The stares and the women stopping me made it 100x worse and i was very angry lol. Aww bless him, atleast he managed to get it to stay down. Kids eh 😂

Yesterday one of DD's (2) many meltdowns was because she coudn't carry 2 balls at the same time, one giant beachball and one football.

There are so many throughout the day I lose track in the end!

They are so much harder to carry now too with arms and legs flailing everywhere!

@snoooyokay yes we have lots daily but this has been by far the worse for a while lol. They are so much harder to carry now. I am hoping its a faze x

My DD’s tantrums and crying sessions are getting worse by the day, she’s just turned 3 and has a new baby sister which I’m guessing doesn’t help?!
The new thing for her is an obsession with a blue and white striped dress. She wants to wear it every day and even takes it out of the washing basket to wear. When I say no she cries and cries and CRIES!!
Anyone else go through the wearing the same thing every day. What do you do?!
The whingeing and whining is also on the up - please tell me this is just a phase

@fevs hopefully its just a phase. She may be feeling jealous of the new baby. I've got all this to come in a few months. My DD is currently in her cot kicking it and shouting as she doesn't want a nap but is crying because she's tired 🙈

Oh we have endless tantrums here at the moment!

DS is nearly 2 so we still have a long way to go as well, two of today’s highlights were-

I couldn’t make the water go back into the tap
I had to stop the car at traffic lights

Wanted toast. EvilMum put it in the toaster.

20 minutes of despair.

Because I couldn't believe warren fox was back on hollyoaks, got a bit excited 🙄😂so my 4 year old son told me I didn't love my family and that I was lying to him 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wasn’t allowed to watch daddy have a wee.

3.8yo DS didnt want rocket t-shirt, wanted monster one, fine swapped, then didnt want monster one, took it off, hid both tops. I let him pick a top - settled for too hot long-sleeved top. Then same with sandals vs shoes. All done with screaming theatrics and clinging to my leg. A wonderful start to the day!

DD 2.

1st tantrum was because I put her breakfast on a Macca Pacca plate instead of IgglePiggle plate.

2nd was because I wouldn't let her stand on the dogs tail.

3rd was because I wouldn't let her pick her poo back out of the toilet.

4th was because I put her Moana DVD on because she asked me to

5th was because I gave her a green spoon instead of a pink one.

Thank God for bed time!

Wouldn't let her eat her porridge with a fork.

Usually quite good at picking my battles, clearly not today.

Its so good to hear i'm not on my own with the tantrums ladies 😂. X

4yo had a tantrum because 2yo played with the (shared) train track 4yo had made. 2yo was playing nicely.

@Fevs when I was younger I would only wear one dress
A black and white striped one 'zebra dress' we all called it
My poor mum had to wash it over night ready for the next day!!!!

My 2 and a half year old had a massive tantrum today because I wouldn't let him have crisps for breakfast 😑

The tantrums are continuing this morning in our house again 🙈.

Doesn't want me to play with her, doesn't want me to help get the toys out the toy box, then crying because she can't reach the toy she wants. I was hoping today would be a better day. Clearly not.

This morning my 21 month old didn't want to enter the nursery where the selection process was underway for the next intake. He had a loud, snot covered, lie-on-the-floor-kicking-legs-around tantrum in the playground while all the other little children followed instructions perfectly and went inside. It lasted a full15 minutes. then we came home.

The reason for not wanting to go in was so he could press the disabled access button on the door.

@WTFsmyusername ahh that button. Kids love to press that. I had that a few weeks ago whilst seeing the midwife. I do hope this gets easier as they get older. She has gone out now for a few hours with grandma. What a battle to get her ready. Some days i feel like its a constant battle and she doesn't like me lol. I'm hoping its a phase. She was such a happy baby x

@user1499786242 how long did the zebra phase last for....? I’ve bought her so many nice new summer clothes that are sitting in her wardrobe unworn 😫😫😫

Today’s tantrums continued for me too - because she didn’t want to get out of the playground sandpit but then because she had sand on her hands... and other pointless ridiculous things. Every day is a new battle (or 5). It’s draining!!

@SamanthaH92 mine was so happy too until about 4 months ago!! It’s actually quite upsetting to think of how happy she used to be compared to now.
I have that same worry of if she likes me too!!! Ha

We went for a picnic lunch with friends in the park. 3 year old had a tantrum because another child said oranges were his favourite. "But it's my favourite..."
