Is baby teething? Or sleep regression?

Hello all!
FTM and need some advice please Smile The past few night my 15 week old has been very restless at bedtime and taken nearly 2 hours to get to sleep. Lots of screaming and fighting sleep. His eyes will be rolling and then he will start going to sleep then it’s as if he remembers that he’s meant to be fighting it and wakes back up crying. Lots of rubbing eyes.
He’s generally awake at about 5pm after his last nap, then it’s bath time, bedtime massage (only for a few minutes) and a bottle in darkened room with the white noise maker on. This used to work but now I’m unsure if he’s going through 4 month sleep regression or teething?
During the day he only naps for half an hour at a time, he will have three or four naps. He’s putting his hands in his mouth a lot but has been for a few weeks. Wasn’t sure if he’s discovering his handies or if he’s teething? During the day he doesn’t cry at all, only when I’m rocking him to sleep for his nap. Sometimes I can put him straight down and he will have a little grizzle then sleep.
Can anyone offer any advice please on what I’m doing wrong/right, if it could be teething or if it’s sleep regression?
Thank you!Flowers

I'm against cry it out, but not against controlled crying and I will be using it if and when the time comes

I’m at the stage where I’m going to do a softer method of controlled crying soon to get ds to sleep on his own bed because I’m too exhausted.

He has his naps in his bed in his room during the day so I’m not too worried that he won’t sleep in there when the time comes.
The last two nights he’s gone down at about 8pm and slept through till 4.30am. I feel he’s doing really well. Considering he was up every few hours not so long ago, I’m really proud of him. He’s got cmpa and reflux so we’ve been through tough times, he’s doing well now finally and steadily putting weight on.

Ds takes his naps in his room through the day and will sleep in his room alittle through the night but keeps waking wanting in our bed. He is teething though and getting molars. He’s had nights where he’s slept through but not many and a long time ago. Babies/toddlers always seem to be going through something that’s for sure.

Good news on your little one gaining weight op. Ds was a reflux baby too and it was tough, he came off his meds at 13 months old and we’ve never looked back.

That’s fantastic! Smile
