Hi Mummy's

With the recent information regarding Johnsons products, which brand do you recommend using on your baby...? Bubble bath, shampoo, oil, lotion etc x

I use Child's Farm

OliviaBonas · 31/08/2017 13:14

Moo Goo

MessyBun247 · 31/08/2017 13:15

I just use the Tesco range and find it very good. And it's cruelty free

I use Childs Farm too it's lovely stuff. We got gifted a huge basket of Johnson's products when DS was born, used some once and he was covered in eczema. Completely disagrees with his skin, it's gone to the foodbank.

NannyR · 31/08/2017 14:10

You don't really need to use much at all on small babies. Plain water is fine until they start weaning and covering themselves in food.

Daffydil · 31/08/2017 14:13

We use Simple

Glowinginthedark · 31/08/2017 14:22

Is this about the talc causing cancer or is there something else as well now?

Dreams16 · 31/08/2017 14:29

Currently using Burt baby bees
My DS had reactions to both johnsons and their so called milder brand aveeno so I no longer trust any Johnson products

YellowLawn · 31/08/2017 14:31

dr organics
mostly just water

flutterby12 · 31/08/2017 15:12

We use Hipp Organic. Very gentle on his skin. Tried to use Dove baby but it was awful.

GreenGoblin0 · 31/08/2017 19:20

weleda baby is nice but is expensive

we also like halos n horns and child's farm

Callamia · 31/08/2017 19:22

Child's farm, or Aveeno.
But mainly only water.

MarmaladeAtkinsX · 31/08/2017 19:23

Found out when I had DCs they AND I are allergic to Johnsons.

Childs farm and the Baylis and Harding kids bubbles are nice. I didn't think much of the Ella's products.

My DCs have sensitive skin and react to a lot of products - always worth reading the labels even if boring!

krummymummy · 31/08/2017 19:26

Asda angels range

Melassa · 31/08/2017 19:28

I used mainly Weleda. Expensive but as a pp says, they don't really need anything except water the first few months. I think I got by on water and calendula oil for the whole of the first year. I can't remember when we started using shampoo but it must have been well into the second year, when she was at nursery. DD still had a bath every night, but with just a drop of oil in the water and nothing soapy. She never smelt unsavoury, at that age they don't have stinky hormones so don't need perfume.

Melassa · 31/08/2017 19:29

Johnsons products gave me hives, the baby shampoo gave me an itchy scalp, so there was no way any of that was going near my PFB!

SnowWhite33 · 31/08/2017 19:37

Burts Bees and Weleda, really good!
Use body wash/shampoo and also diaper cream from both brands and also weleda face cream which was the only one that helped to calm down eczema on my son's cheeks.

Summerdays2014 · 31/08/2017 19:38

E45 children's range. The foaming bubble bath is the only product that doesn't cause an eczema flair up.

Merida83 · 31/08/2017 19:38

I'm about to have my first baby and have been given loads of their stuff - can I ask what the recent information is. Cos I'm guessing it's not good and now a tad worried!

Marmite27 · 31/08/2017 19:39

Switched to child's farm - with the exception of bubble bath, we use infacare which is what my mum used on me!

Spanneroo · 31/08/2017 19:44

We use Burt's bees baby hair and body wash. It smells gorgeous! We used just water for DD1 but DD2 has a great mood of hair that gets greasy after a few days (god help her when she has adult hormones!) and we've settled on this as it is natural, smells great, and doesn't irritate

IamMoana · 31/08/2017 20:23

Burts baby bees stuff is fab, pricey so would stock up when on 3 for 2. Now she's bigger use the child's farm stuff.

AlcoholicsUnanimous · 31/08/2017 23:14

We used Oilatum when DD was a baby as she is eczema prone, Child's Farm and Aveeno now. Johnsons stuff really dried out her skin, horrible stuff.

I use the paddys bathroom stuff that Poundland have been selling. The Mandarin bubble stuff that comes in pouches like the Elias kitchen food. It smells amazing and my ds seems to like it.
I assume it's the old stock because I saw a t.v. ad for paddys bathroom today and it looks completely different now.
