How many children would you like?

Just that really!

Im currently pregnant with number 2. Before now i had always thought 2 would be the perfect number of children to have. However, im now finding myself constantly thinking that i would actually prefer one more in a few years time. I feel like 3 would be perfect! What do you think?

I have 4 and I'm done.

I wanted two. I'm an only child, DH is one of four. He wanted four. We agreed to three and the fourth was an accident Blush.

If I had my time over, I'd still go for just 2, honestly.

ladystarkers · 23/07/2017 22:19

4.. I have 4

  1. I love them dearly and I'm done.

Always thought I wanted 3.

After going through the newborn stage I told my husband I only wanted 2.... it was just too exhausting!

Now the terrible twos have struck I said I'm not even sure I can manage a second!! I'll see how we feel in a year or two...

DramaAlpaca · 23/07/2017 22:29

I have three, which is perfect for me.

soundsystem · 23/07/2017 22:33

I've always thought I'd like 3. I've currently got two (baby and toddler) and while I'm permanatly knackered and don't want another one anytime soon, I don't feel like I'm done. Quite a few of my friends have two and talk about how their families are complete, and I don't feel like that.

Tilapia · 23/07/2017 22:35

I always thought I'd have two, but I didn't feel finished after two so we had another one. Now I'm done!

CocoLoco87 · 23/07/2017 22:40

I've got 2, would like 4, DH says 3, I think we'll end up with 4 Grin

Timetogrowup2016 · 24/07/2017 08:19

I have the one at the moment, 17 months.
Not sure I will ever have another . Have had a tough time with dd

Northend77 · 24/07/2017 09:38

I have twins and I don't want any more

FluffyDavis · 24/07/2017 09:45

2 but I've got 4.
Love them all dearly but they are such hard work! It's the constant fighting, 2 can be easily separated but with 4 it's virtually impossible.

StinkPickle · 24/07/2017 09:48

I've got 3. We probably should have stuck at 2. But I was obsessed with the thought of just one more so we did it.

crashandburnt · 24/07/2017 09:51

I have 4. All singletons each one 2 years apart. I'm knackered but they are lovely.

Orangebird69 · 24/07/2017 09:51

I'd like 2 but dh says no more so we're sticking with 1. Am a bit sad about it but try to focus on the opportunities we can provide for ds as an only.

diodati · 24/07/2017 09:53

I have two - a girl & a boy - who are almost exactly 3 years apart. I'm very happy; they get on well (most of the time) & the age difference is just right.

My only regret is that I couldn't have a child with my DP. He has no children of his own, although he loves mine to bits, and I would have loved to "make" a child with him.

diodati · 24/07/2017 09:57

I had my tubes tied after DC2's birth, With hindsight, I wish I'd just gone back to using the Mirena device.

Kim82 · 24/07/2017 10:01

I always wanted 6, I have 4 and I'm done. My family feels complete with 4 plus I don't have the time, space or money for another 2!

Paisley8880 · 24/07/2017 10:02

I would love 3, always imagined 3 but OH has 1 already and he doesn't want 4. I'm happy to count SS as 1 and have 2.

Jasquers · 24/07/2017 10:22

I thought I wanted 3 as I am one of 3. However I am done at 2! One boy and one girl. I don't think I would survive the sleep deprivation at the age of nearly 40!

Stansmith01 · 24/07/2017 10:24

I'd like 2

Lofari · 24/07/2017 10:27

I wanted 3. Have 3 and am totally done.

justanotheryoungmother · 24/07/2017 10:33

Hmmm

I have one and I love having a baby etc so I'm theory I'd like another one (not sure I could cope with more than two!). BUT I'm far too scared to give birth again so Sad

Maybe one day Smile

justanotheryoungmother · 24/07/2017 10:34

*in theory

Before anyone points it out, I'm still going to love her when she's older Grin

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 24/07/2017 10:36

Always wanted 2, have 1 DS and one impending.

We have agreed 2 will be perfect, but I don't know how I'll feel a couple of years down the line - hopefully thrilled to have got my body (and boobs) back. Plus I really don't know how DH will cope with 2+!

OhDearToby · 24/07/2017 10:38

I'd like four. I've just had number three. I'm giving myself a rest from pregnancy for a while and will hopefully have number four when dd3 has just started school.
