If you were choosing one or the other - wonderoo or swaddlebees pocket?

Thanks

I think wonderoo as swaddlebees leaked every time with my dd. Swaddlebees look cuter on though!

makesachange · 08/03/2007 13:25

SB work well with 2 boosters (pref of the size down from the nappy)

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 13:41

2 boosters as well as the inserts? (Still getting into the world of swaddlebees )

Neither, I'd buy a Fuzzi

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 13:48

Can't do fuzzis

OP posts:
Bagpuss30 · 08/03/2007 13:51

Why not? Actually I'd buy another Bumgenius

SoupDragon · 08/03/2007 13:53

I've only got one Wonderoo and it has poppers which I found were more faff than the BumGenius and not so adjustable.

maisiemog · 08/03/2007 13:54

Haven't tried either, but from what others have said Swaddlebees are the leakiest.
It seems that as babies get older and start to do bigger wees the Swaddlebees struggle.
The shape of the baby seems to be a factor.
Check out my blog and add up the leak comments against both.

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 14:03

Argh - can see it ending up being a minki at this rate.

Trying to sort out a starter kit type thing - I want a pocket nappy in it, but I can't sell fuzzis on the site.

OP posts:
Bagpuss30 · 08/03/2007 14:05

Minkis are the most reliable I've come across, bit bulky though...

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 14:08

It was the bulk that was putting me off using it.

Nature babies stuffable anyone? That's the only other option left because Mommy's Touch will bump the price up too much.

snugglebumnappies · 08/03/2007 14:14

Flame, I have found the new Wonderoos are selling really well, just be sure to let people know they are the new Hip Hip Baby ones and you should have no problem selling them.

snugglebumnappies · 08/03/2007 14:14

Meant to say I prefer Wonderoos on my DD but only use the hemp inserts.

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 15:32

Thanks

I've had different responses from different sites!

Nature Babies Stuffables are good. I finally got the hang of them after months - during which DD was at first too small so they kept leaking.

But my favourite - out of 3: NB stuffables, MEOS and Bumgenius - is the Bumgenius. It's slim, it's soft, it's easy to wash (unlike NB that has rubbery gussets that discoloured in the wash) and it looks very sweet (unlike the other two which are just very puffy-looking).

maisiemog · 08/03/2007 21:07

I was going to say bumgenius as well, it seems to have pretty good reviews, might be a bit pricey though, if the Mommy's Touch is too much.
Mommy's touch gets good reviews though, and have a wider choice of colours than BG and I have heard, stay in better condition over time. Mind you that was before BG started to use PUL.
I was having a look at the reviews for Wonderoos and overall I would say they fared better than swaddlebees.
The only other pockets I can think of are Wee Notions pockets, but I don't know if they sell them through retailers.
Or Babeco?
P'tits Dessous does a few pocket nappies - just to confuse you.

Flame: "2 boosters as well as the inserts? (Still getting into the world of swaddlebees ) "

Noooo, two x Swaddlebees boosters or inserts, whatever you want to call them, I mean just 2 SB thingies!!!!!!!!

Re Swaddlebees leaking - the old version did, like a sieve. The new style are much better - great in fact.

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 21:51

I was assuming that was what you meant MAC, but thought I should check

I am still 50/50 (more like 20/20 actually )

makesachange · 08/03/2007 21:57

Have you tried a new SB yet?

I'm interested, BTW, to know the oldest child who has worn a SW pocket?

E

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 22:04

I bought a sb aio, but it was the wrong size His bum has grown apparently.

Keep planning to try out a pocket but I got distracted by huggles

OP posts:
makesachange · 08/03/2007 22:15

hehe - they do, don't they (bums grow I mean).

Oh I got your email, sorry not replied, no worries

xx

Flamesparrow · 08/03/2007 22:22

I was starting to wonder if they did... he's still swamped in 6-9 month clothes - his c4c dungarees look like he's shrunk in the wash

no probs with the email - the lollipop lady replied in the end after me whinging

OP posts:
maisiemog · 09/03/2007 12:22

New Swaddlebees, that sounds interesting. [interested face]
Are they different in appearance? How have they improved the leaking?
I must add that to the blog, because the get a bit of a bum rap on there, but that would be the old type presumably??

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 12:58

mwahahaha @ bum rap

OP posts:
makesachange · 09/03/2007 13:05

Basic differences:

Decent PUL which doesn't leak through it (hurrah).

New liner which is sooooo soft and comfy and dry.

Decent leg cuffs which don't leak.

Still same shape, style, poppers etc.
