agree with last 2 posts... front bottom, WTF???

and why the shame in naming it? wierd. i know willys are often called willys but no-ones all coy about saying it, tho, are they??

hotmulledwinemama · 24/12/2006 00:33

Basically, call the front bits "wee wee" and the bottom bits are called well ....... "bottom". Mind you dd1 is only 2 - so perhaps when she is older I will be a bit more technical!

Heathcliffscathy · 24/12/2006 00:34

how the f*ck is a fanny not a euphemism?

explain please.

immediately!

Willy's not a particularly twee word, is it?

All this niminipimini stuff just gets on my booby dumplings.

hunkermunker · 24/12/2006 00:35

Why a wee wee though? Isn't that like calling your bottom a poo poo?

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 24/12/2006 00:36

left booby dumpling, or right booby dumpling? of course it was always both booby dumplings....

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 24/12/2006 00:36

hi soph

hunkermunker · 24/12/2006 00:36

I am strangely fascinated by this. I wonder if it's because I'm interested by the social history of these euphemisms and what they say about us. Or perhaps I like reading rude words?

hunkermunker · 24/12/2006 00:37

PMSL NG! But then which one first?

Heathcliffscathy · 24/12/2006 00:37

daddy has a penis.

mummy has a vagina.

i'm sure i could substitute vulva to no great shenanigins.

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 24/12/2006 00:38

yay! you got it

isnt it wierd how a few...

oh CRAP. one of the DARLING children is awake and crying...

bye then

hotmulledwinemama · 24/12/2006 00:39

Bizarrely, my mum used to call mine a wee wee - haven't used the word for nearly 40 years. Can't explain why HM - it just feels natural to call it a wee wee.

Is calling them 'bits' acceptable?

NappiesGalooooooooooooria · 24/12/2006 00:46

stuffed bottles into 2 out of 3 mouths...seems to have dont the trick for now)

yeah, fanny and willy were just the words (often) used at home...so those are the words which feel 'normal' now. well, fanny was always a bit, dunno, odd. but maybe thats the general embarrasment of having your vagina referred to all?? (why on earth one should feel that way is beyond me tho.)

okay well it has been officially named in our house ..a fanjo this means I probably have 'issues' but if DS's penis is a 'winky' what the hell..
Have a great Christmas everyone (I am now crossing legs & fingers & fanjos so no.3 doesn't arrive early ....due 31/12!!)

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 03/01/2007 17:58

ds1 when he first saw mine started calling it my 'prinkly bits'. still find it embarassing now

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 03/01/2007 17:58

i think the term he now uses is my 'beard' - he is 8 btw

sleepysooz · 03/01/2007 18:25

MY 11yo DS calls my DD's bits 'DINKY DOO' she calls it 'ANSY' don't know where she came up with that one, I call it 'front bottom'

All in all, I think we ought to settle on something before she gets confused!

izzybiz · 03/01/2007 19:00

My Dd is 2 and a half, she calls hers a FooFoo.
When i was little mine was a minnie.
I have never had any hang ups about the body or what things are really called, To me its the same as calling a duck a quack quack, or a dog a doggy, IYKWIM.

Really dont see a problem with having names for things when they are little.

tinkerbellie · 03/01/2007 19:05

when we were little it was fanny for girls and willy for boys
with our kids we use willy and girly bits
my friend uses tiggle for willy and fairy for her little girls bits

themaskedposter · 03/01/2007 19:06

dd uses
minni-moo
and
buttocks

the boys bits are
willy-woo

tinkerbellie · 03/01/2007 19:08
