Please save me from Stick Man

Its the only book my just turned 2 year old son wants me to read at bedtime. I'm reading it at least 6 nights a week and it's slowly driving me mad. Anyone got any recommendation for something else that would be just as popular?

Wait until you get to school and experience the joys of Biff, Chip and Kipper....you'll wish for the Stick Man days back ;-)

Stickman doesn't work in a Northern accent. Annoys the tits off me.

Hairy Mclary. Great rhymes but you can read them soooo much quicker!

Stick man, oh stick man, you excellent friend, thanks, thanks a million, thanks without end.....

It's really not one of the worst JD books. The bloody scarecrows wedding is hidden lost atm. The highway rat may soon join it.

Not a fan of cave baby either actually.

Tabby McTatt is good but so very very long

I mostly leave out the "I'm Stickman that's me" sections. I can recite the Gruffalo in the dark though which is a life skill I never dreamed of "achieving".
"Room on the Broom" was a bigger hit than Stickman - have you tried that? You can download the animation on iTunes too which is excellent. Tiddler is sh*t imo.

Peanut14 · 11/02/2015 12:05

My daughter got a great one as a present,'the little girl who lost her name'. Love, love, love......,..

JuniperTisane · 11/02/2015 12:09

DS2 who has also just turned 2 is similarly obsessed with What the Ladybird Heard, to the point he can tell the whole story himself (if you can understand him) its getting tedious now but yours might like it.

DS1 has only just discovered Tiddler at 4yo. He never thought much of it til then.

Charlie Cook's Favourite Book is the best JD book, imo! Stick Man made me nearly cry when I was pregnant Blush
