How much is your child's school breakfast club?

Off the back of my other thread, it's been suggested my children's breakfast club is very expensive, so I'm hoping people will do a quick poll of their breakfast club costs.

I have two children and the breakfast club is Ofsted reg'd and run from their school premises, at £2 per child, or £18 a week if paid in advance.

It runs from 7.45 to 8.40

I'm in Northamptonshire, ordinary market town.

£3 for 45m, independent school, London

strongandlong · 29/01/2015 20:49

Free. From 8.10 til school starts. This is in Wales, I think it's paid for by Welsh govt.

BonzoDooDah · 29/01/2015 20:50

8am til school starts - only charge 20p per item of food your child eats (we're in quite a deprived area)

RabidFairy · 29/01/2015 20:51

DD goes to Breakfast Club which costs £1 from 8-9.

BonzoDooDah · 29/01/2015 20:52

I meant to add - ours is exceptionally cheap but I think yours is quite reasonably priced. £2 for an hour's reliable childcare is good value.

Stillwishihadabs · 29/01/2015 20:52

£4 £-845 not good value imo

RoundRobinSparkles · 29/01/2015 20:52

Seriously? £1 a day?

Mine's £5 but it's at a local soft play centre. School don't offer one. There's another breakfast club across the road from school but DD didn't want to go to that one - it's a similar price, I think.

Ours runs from 7.30, includes breakfast, a play in the soft play area and then they walk the children to school/drive to school depending on which school.
After school is £8.50 and it includes biscuit, juice, a snack tea (ie. a bit of pasta or sandwiches etc), play in the play area and they do crafts and baking, computer games and movie time. Good value, I think.

£3 per child in London

Prizepudding · 29/01/2015 20:52

opens at 8:15 and is free

RabidFairy · 29/01/2015 20:53

This is in Oxfordshire by the way, OP.

Moleyjay · 29/01/2015 20:53

£5 for 45mins. I'm green with envy reading these prices!

Stillwishihadabs · 29/01/2015 20:54

8-845 would kill to have it open at 7:45 or 7:30

TheColdDoesBotherMeAnyway · 29/01/2015 20:55

Free Grin

Thanks National Assembly Grin

After school is 2.50 per hour

BikeRunSki · 29/01/2015 20:57

£4/day
Milk, toast, escort to school (2 mins away). There's one at school which is the same cost, wider range of food, but DS prefers to go to the nursery one.

Medoc · 29/01/2015 20:59

£6.50 per hour, inc breakfast Shock

We don't use it.

Fairyfellowsmasterstroke · 29/01/2015 21:03

Medoc - Does your child get served caviar on the naked buttocks of vestal virgins???

OK, perhaps not totally suitable seeing as this is a child orientated tread but REALLY WTF

Thats an expensive breakfast club!!!

NexusSix · 29/01/2015 21:05

Astonishing differences in charges!

I wonder if all breakfast clubs have to be Ofated registered, amd if that makes a difference to charges.
