What age(s)?

amitha · 21/11/2014 20:32

5yr old goes 7.30, 8yr old goes 8/8.30 depending how tired/annoying he is!

confusedandemployed · 21/11/2014 20:35

DD 20 months. Bath at 6.30, then story and teeth, lights out 7pm. Every single night. It's great and I plan to keep it this way til she's 18.

DD, 14 months, is in bed at 6.30 unless she's exceptionally tired.

23kissesx · 21/11/2014 20:37

Googleyeyes any ages.
I have two DCs with bedtimes that vary, so I want to get them into a good routine now that we've settled.

I'm curious to see if age matters

Ds 4.5 goes between 6.30 and 7. Asleep. Between 7-7.30

23kissesx · 21/11/2014 20:39

confusedandemployed your post made me laugh!

DS (3) has his dinner at 6, bath at 7 and in bed by 8.
DD (8 months) has the same routine although her bedtime varies

OP posts:
Thumbcat · 21/11/2014 20:39

DS is 7. Upstairs at 7 for teeth/pyjamas/story and aim to be in bed by 7.30.

Only1scoop · 21/11/2014 20:40

Dd is 4 up for bath at 7 in bed asleep by half 7.

DeadCert · 21/11/2014 20:41

DS 3.5 bath at 6:30pm, story, lights out by 7pm
DD 4 months bath at 6pm, feed, asleep by 6.30pm

Nervo · 21/11/2014 20:42

Well, I don't put dc to bed - dh does.

We are in agreement though that sleep is important so the dc (9 and 4) go to bed between 7.30 and 8pm during the week.

We all leave the house at 7.50am.

They get about an extra hour at the weekend.

Slowdownsally · 21/11/2014 20:43

Ds is nearly 4.

Dinner at 5/5.30.

Bath/wash at 6 ish.

Stories until 7pm.

Lights out. Asleep within 10 mins.

I am utterly blessed. He was an appalling sleeper until he was 2, then suddenly this pattern worked and he sleeps 11 hours every night.

Pippioddstocking · 21/11/2014 20:45

Ds 9 and dd 10 both up to bath 730 and lights out at 815

Stillwishihadabs · 21/11/2014 20:46

Ds: age 1week-4 months 6:45
4 months -18 months 7:30.
18 months-6 years 8:00
6-8 years 8:30

8 years 9pm on a week night

Dd 2weeks-6 months 8:30
6 months-3 years 7pm
3-6 years 7:30

6 years try for 8pm often 8:30 or even 9pm not ideal.

FluffyRedSocks · 21/11/2014 20:46

Dd 22 months, 7pm, thrown in bed with her milk in a baby bottle, fast asleep until 5am!

I need my evenings, I'm a morning person!

Sootgremlin · 21/11/2014 20:50

Oh my goodness, how do so many keep your routine to half an hour including bath Envy

My routine is a bit of a shambles moveable feast, but I have ds 3.5 and dd 11 months. We herd them upstairs at 6.30, baby in bath while ds whines and procrastinates plays quietly in his room. Then he gets in and they have five minutes playing together. Baby out at 7, ds by 7.15. Milk for both, board book for baby, 3 books for ds, both asleep by 8.

Though tonight it has gone haywire and I've only just got the little one to sleep and ds went quiet 20 minutes ago. Now I'm avoiding the tidying up I can hear DH doing downstairs Blush Grin

Short version, 8 o clock.

leelteloo · 21/11/2014 20:52

All up to bed at 6.40, both Ds (10 months & 2) in bath, dd plays in her room. Both in bed asleep by 7. Dd (5) then has two stories and is lights out at 7.15. No deviation.

MrsBungle · 21/11/2014 20:53

I have dd (5) and ds (2.5). Both go for a bath around 6:15pm. Stories finished by 7pm. Lights out for the 2yo, dd is allowed to read for another 15mins to half an hour then it's lights out for her too. Both up around 7am.

NotCitrus · 21/11/2014 20:53

Dd nearly 3, upstairs just after 7, in bed after stories etc by 7.30. Bounces up around 7.15 and almost never naps any more (aaaagh!)
Ds age 6, upstairs by around 7.30, head on pillow by 8 to avoid tears. Wakes around 7.30.
Dn age 6.5, upstairs by 8 for our own sanity, told to get in bed by 9, generally asleep by 10, wakes any time after 6am...

halfdrunkcoffee · 21/11/2014 20:58

Just four and 22 months - they go to bed between 7 and 7.30. They go upstairs for a bath around 6.30. DS should probably go to bed earlier as he always says he is tired in the morning.

Azquilith · 21/11/2014 21:02

I have a non sleeper. Bath between 7-7.30, them books and into bed from 8ish. If I'm luck he's asleep by 8.30, average 9, unlucky 9.30...19 months.

ireallydontlikemonday · 21/11/2014 21:29

Twins, 3.3 go up between 7-710 and finished stories by 730. Some nights they chat and I leave them to it otherwise straight to sleep an always asleep by 8pm.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 21/11/2014 21:37

Dd 27 months has tea at about 5.30, bath at 7 and bed after stories at 8 or shortly after. Sleeps til about 7.30 or 8 in the morning. Lucky me

Mouthfulofquiz · 21/11/2014 21:37

Blimey. I'm still getting DS 7 months to sleep!! Haven't had my tea yet!

DD 3.9 years and DS 10 weeks. Both upstairs at 6pm. Bath DS while DD does pjs, teeth and toilet. I take DS to get sorted and fed and he's down by 6:30. DD (who we bath during the day as she loves to play in it for ages) goes to her room for a couple of stories with DH and then down by 6:45.
Interestingly before DS was born we didn't start DDs routine until nearer 630/45 and she didn't go down as well as she does now that we have moved everything forward by 30 minutes.
