Our DD has just turned 2. I already posted this week about her sleep issues. She is having so much trouble dropping off at night and I don't know what to do! My DSIS cut out my niece's lunch time nap for this reason but I think it's too early to do that, right?

It's been raining a lot lately so maybe she's not had enough physical activity outdoors?

Please tell be what time your DC at this approx age wake, nap & sleep!!

8.30am wake
2-3.30pm nap
8.30/9pm bed

Bigmonkeylittlemonkey · 09/04/2014 21:21

6am wake
12-2 nap
8pm sleep

Co sleep from about 2.30am as that is usually when he wakes up and wants me. Sometimes he is awake in the night if he hasn't done enough activities or had too much sleep during the day.

Fairylea · 09/04/2014 21:24

Ds is 2 in June.

Wakes 6.30
Nap 12-2
Bed 6 pm (seems desperate to go to bed and then chats to his teddies for about half an hour!)

I normally take him out in the morning before his nap somewhere so he is knackered and will hopefully give me 2 hours of peace :)

We spend the afternoons doing things at home.

I used the 5.2.5. routine at this age. So, from waking, keep up 5 hours.
Then 2 hours nap. Then up for another 5 hours and then bed. This normally meant up at 7, nap 12-2, then bed at 7.

DD will be 2 in June

7.00 wake up
12-1/1.30 nap
7.30 lights out after 30min bedtime routine (bath, story, milk etc)

She's at nursery all day and can be absolutely exhausted by 7.30pm.

Nightfall1983 · 09/04/2014 21:46

We're fairly relaxed but typically:

Up 9am
Nap around 1pm for 2hrs
Sleep 9pm

19 months, self-settles to sleep without a murmur and sleeps through the night (but only for the last few months, never slept through the night at all till he turned 1)

Skylerwh1te · 09/04/2014 21:47

Ds is nearly 20 months.

2.2

Wakes normally around 7.30, occasionally 7 moved her into the sodding front bedroom the other week, didn't we, the one that faces the sunrise, sometimes 8.

Naps at about 1 for an hour, maybe an hour and a half.

In bed between 7.30-8.

crispyporkbelly · 09/04/2014 21:49

Same as above 5.2.5 with a lot of outdoor or play activities

crispyporkbelly · 09/04/2014 21:49

sharond101 · 09/04/2014 21:50

2 in May

Wake between 7-8am
Nap 1-2.30pm
Bed 7.30/8pm

TeaandHobnobs · 09/04/2014 21:54

DS is just shy of 2.

He wakes between 6 and 6:30, sometimes will doze until 7.

Nap is approx. 12 - 2, although it varies a bit on non-nursery days.

Into bed around 7:30pm, when he may lay straight down to go to sleep, or he may kick up a fuss and not really go to sleep until 8:30.

Recently he has managed to sleep through a couple of times, but as a general rule he will wake around 2:30am and come into bed with us.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 09/04/2014 21:55

22.5 month old

7:00/7:30 up
12:00/12:30 nap for about 2 hours
7:00/7:30 in bed after bath, book, cuddle etc

melliebobs · 09/04/2014 21:58

Mon-Wednesday she's at nursery. So up at 7:30 more often than not she's asleep. She may or may not have 45 mins around 1:30 but more often she doesn't. Bed for 7:30pm which she's more than ready for

Thur-Sunday up about 8:30. Nap around 1:30 which can be 1-2hours (think it's catch up) bed about 7:30 but if it's a bit later that's fine with me

AmandinePoulain · 09/04/2014 21:59

20 months tomorrow

Up at 7
Nap 1-3 at home (I get her up at 3 for the school run, she would happily stay there for another hour if she could!); at nursery she rarely has more than an hour but they put her down at closer to 2, god knows how, she's shattered by 1 at home)
Bed at 7:30, she sleeps through

SJBean · 09/04/2014 22:08

7am wake (actually wakes up anytime from 6.15 but waits for the 'sun to come up' on gro clock)
1pm-3pm - nap
6-6.30pm - bed

beginnings · 09/04/2014 22:09

23 months, up at 7, nap 1-2, bed at 7. She will sometimes wake in the night but only because she's lost her comfort blanket and will settle back to sleep immediately once she's given it. She sometimes sleeps longer than that in the day but we don't let her go beyond 90 minutes or she takes too long to settle in the evening.

She's slept through from 13 weeks. Her 6 month old sister is upstairs roaring as DH tries to settle her. Sigh......

Agree that the toddlers need a good "run out" in order to tire them though. Weather hasn't stopped us - we have wellies and an all in one waterproof. Yes, I get some funny looks in the park but she sleeps so frankly, I really don't care!!

waterrat · 10/04/2014 14:53

2 years old

Up at half 6

Nap for at least 2 hours often more at around midday

Bed at half 7 asleep around 8

Bedtime always much easier after a day with lots of fresh air - particularly in the afternoon

BobaFetaCheese · 10/04/2014 14:56

27m, this has been his routine since he was 16m;

Wake up at 6.30
No Nap
Asleep in bed by 6 most nights.

He dropped his nap early.
8m old baby has already dropped his afternoon nap Hmm
