Our DD has just turned 2. I already posted this week about her sleep issues. She is having so much trouble dropping off at night and I don't know what to do! My DSIS cut out my niece's lunch time nap for this reason but I think it's too early to do that, right?

It's been raining a lot lately so maybe she's not had enough physical activity outdoors?

Please tell be what time your DC at this approx age wake, nap & sleep!!

DS is 22mo. Wakes between 6.30 & 7.00. Will nap for about 45mins on the three days he is at nursery but otherwise doesn't nap, not even if we do a long car journey & then bed at 8.00.
At this age, DD was waking at the same time, napping for 45mins on her non-nursery days and for about 90mins on nursery days & went to bed at 7.30. We went to visit relatives for a few days over her second birthday & she never napped on non-nursery days after that.
The amount of exercise & fresh air they have or haven't had has made very little difference to how long they have slept for.
To be honest, I can't wait for DS to drop his nap as it gives us so much more freedom. Yes, he has been quite good about napping in the car or pushchair but I have tried to have him home in his cot at nap time if possible.

Mine keeps waking at 5am - what can I do?

Wake 5-5.30am, crying
Nap 10-10.30am for 1.5 hrs
Bed 7pm, often not asleep til 8

Croquet, how dark is their room? DD started waking earlier recently, we've now put in a blackout blind and blackout curtains - it's pretty much the black hole of Calcutta in her room, but it's put back her wake-up time.

I have a gro travel blind, which is a bit crap, so it's blacked out with odd Indiana Jones-esque shards of light coming through... I'll try and stick it on a bit better and see if that works. I also think it may be the morning birdsong sodding birds

Do they start to wake later as they get older? I got a 12 month old waking at 6 ish.
