It's sad to grow old, but nice to ripen.

Can't scroll back (or remember any posts) so waves to all

Spectacular parent fail today. .. I'm changing rosebuds name to whingebud as that's all she's done today. She stopped briefly during our walk as she loves watching leaves. Other than that pretty constant unless feeding which had to be done on the bed. ... Other than attending to a whinging baby I've achieved nothing today. I did make Babaganook but had eaten all bar 3 spoons by time dh got home..
My opening line to him was 'if you want food get it yourself' Blush he was 1 1/2 hours late and I had to phone him to gey him to come back. Whingebud was screening and he asked why he had to come home [confused) (He was in the pub with a friend from Egypt :(
He came home and spent 3/4 hour on his phone to his mum Angry when i asked why he wasn't helping he said he was helping he was 'running her bath' wtf lol! !
Thankfully all in good humor and par for the course in this house. I have come to bed and not made him dinner as he has been usles (I had banana on toast)
Rosebud is sleeping peacefully beside me looking all angelic with that lovely just bathed baby look and all is forgiven. :)
Tomorrow is another day

Night all

What is it with the whinging and not sleeping. II'm having a total rethink of our non routine. Today will be different Grin
Currently back in bed rosebud sleeping and morning will start again when she next wakes.

Wishing you all a non whinge day.

knickyknocks · 25/10/2013 08:48

Baby KK whingeing too. Well, shouldn't have got up so early then!

Spectacular diary failure. Night out tomorrow on the night clocks go back. Late night followed by a 4am start on Sunday. Suspect baby KK won't be the only one whingeing......

Wishing one and all a whinge free day!

blueblackdye · 25/10/2013 09:26

VQ, we wish baby J a wonderful 1st birthday. And no whinging either :)

I hope you all have a nicer day with LO. Same here, A cried for 2 hours last night, DH has the patience of an angel. DS's birthday family celebration was perfect, he loves his Playmobil (we will open Lego later when he is tired of his Playmobil, hopefully in a month time !) This is great because I need to sort final details for tomorrow's fiesta !!!

scarecrow22 · 25/10/2013 10:00

happy birthday babyVQ. Thanks Thanks Thanks for mummy VQ x

somewherebecomingrain · 25/10/2013 13:41

Hiya vq sorry not to wave earlier but your appearance was a bit enigmatic unless I missed something!

Happy birthday baby J. Was it really a year ago? I was somewhat jealous it was over for you. How is he? How are three? You were full of wisdom come back!

bbd good luck for tomorrow - hopefully the hardest work is over - just have fun! These kids parties are like blooming weddings!

kk wowee the movement! It astonishes me. Ds was a bit of a mover. Baby some is so immobile I don't even put the barrier in the bed anymore. (Am also sleepibg in a v low sofa bed). She can only roll once then gets stuck. And never at night.

AFM have given baby somewhinge some cal pol - has really cheered her up and she's eaten a massive lunch

All is ready for tomorrow, I think. Had a manicure, DS was lovely and very patient reading his Objectif Lune Tintin. His middle finger fits my wedding band ?! Had lunch, cooked for tonight and tomorrow. We have been quietly playing with his Lego for an hour while listening to jazz, it is now his second car so he doesn't need my help as much and I am surfing between MN, FB, nursery webcam ! I love afternoons like this, this is what I call quality time. At last.
Enjoy your Friday and week end, Ladies

Sitting here at 6.58am. Everyone is asleep. Baby some is lying next to me keeping my leg warm. Her hair is sticking up like a cockatoo. Gonna read the sat guardian ON sat - a rare trest,

somewhere much

Yesterday dd wanted to play "going to mummy's work" so packed a handbag for me. On my instruction we put in a piece of paper and red crayon, to which she thoughtfully added a broken thermometer "in case you are poorly", an am radio, a cardboard sword I made from a cereal packet "for the dragons", and some suncream Hmm

by the way for children in to sticking obsessively highly recommend Pritt Rainbow glue. They can see where to stick stuff and also looks fun, plus not too messy. End of advertorial

scarecrow22 · 26/10/2013 08:49

remind me Rosie, "Yom assel, yom bassel"..."some days are ????, some days are onions"???

rosiedays · 26/10/2013 19:02

Some days are honey some days are onions. :)

rosiedays · 26/10/2013 21:37

scarecrow22 · 27/10/2013 13:08

its taken me 40 odd years to.realise that when the clicks go.back.you don't get an hour extra to lie in bed, rather the day is an hour longer instead.

That said, I got back.from my run and my little family were sitting around the table eating porridge together (T included Smile ) and I thought This is what I wanted. This is a Home. Smile Smile

D H gone abroad for a couple of days so trying to keep dd distracted from genuine heart break. no doubt we will do too much and it will end in tears and I cam think " I told you so" to myself Confused

scarecrow22 · 27/10/2013 13:34

some help.please....

We want to have some friends and a few traditional party games for DD's third.birthday. I'm thinking

Pass the parcel
Musical.statues
Musical.cushions (instead of.chairs)
Simon Says
Grandmother's Footsteps (?)
Pin.the tail on the donkey or similar (maybe hat on Fireman Sam or tail on bunny)

Any other ideas?

Guess we need to fill an hour with games.

rosiedays · 27/10/2013 14:56

Sleeping lions :)

rosiedays · 27/10/2013 14:57

Spin the bottle! !! Lol

rosiedays · 27/10/2013 14:59

Oh bbd how was the party?

rosiedays · 27/10/2013 15:39

They have gone! !!! Dad and bil went to the house this morning and the freeloading bastards have gone:) not all good news the house is beyond disgusting (dog has been left to sh**everywhere) and it's looking like they have taken £1000s of credit in my name (nightmare) but my fab (very expensive) kitchen is still in one piece, no major damage :)

GoatBongoAnonymous · 27/10/2013 18:33

So. Bloody. Tired.
Bloody clocks. Up since 3:30.
And poor BG just screamed all night and we are all knackered.

Waves feebly to all.
