How do you know they're ready for a booster seat? Thanks!

My daughter used a booster from around 14 months and now refuses to sit on that at 2 years old...

Trip trap here for our almost 2 year old. Best thing we have been gifted for him! I love that it will see him all the way through to adulthood.

My 3yt old is still in an antilop, he wouldn't sit still and eat on a normal chair (we have tried several times). He also massive (99th centile) and still comfortably fits in it so I figure he'll be in it until I can't wedge him in anymore or he sits still at the table. It's not worth the constant battle to get him to sit down.

Around a year he moved to a booster, hated being strapped in a high chair! He's 2 now and when we eat out if the chair is high enough to the table he just sits on that. He refuses to sit in high chairs

DS is 2.5 and we've just moved him into a travel booster seat.

5 year old, 3 year old and 1 year old still all using Tripp trapps

Best buys ever. I don't really understand why everyone doesn't buy them!

Booster seat from around 18 months and nrmal chair from 2. DD was never really a fan of her high chair. She's tall, so doesn't have a pro bowl poem reaching the table and she likes food enough to sit still for it and not wander off!

fannydaggerz · 01/07/2017 09:07

2.5

Mill246 · 01/07/2017 11:14

2.5 and still using it with no issues

Whitelisbon · 01/07/2017 11:26

We've got 4 using cheapy Tripp trapps here too, age 11 down to 15 months.
Took the tray and harness off the youngests last week, as she could climb out so it seemed pointless.

Mine hated the highchair so was in a booster seat by about 18m, but he hated that too. Just knelt on a normal chair. It was a bit of a nightmare in restaurants because he could just run off but was better than him screaming the place down.
