How old were your dc's when they first slept over at grandparent's?

just that really. My eldest dd is 2.3 doesn't sleep through and comes into our bed during the night. My Mil has mentioned her sleeping over a few times and wanted to take dd for a couple of weeks when ds was born 5 months ago, I said no. But came round the other day saying they have decided that dd should stay over once a week. Dh just said yeah ok, I said no as I don't feel she is ready. Just wanted to know if i'm being overprotective. Then can take her for the day but don't want her to sleep over, but they are always too busy to take her. I wouldn't leave her with my mum either so it's not an in laws thing.

Ds1 was 4. Just never had the inclination or need before that.

Ds2 is 2.7 and not been yet.

Grandparents spend lots of time with them and love it, but they like to be back home for bed and tbh the grandparents are knackered!

Your child. Your decision.

My DS is 2 and a half and he hasn't stayed anywhere yet but they have babysat at our house.

And definitely not once a week!

Dd1 was just gone three she first stayed when I had dd2. Dd1 now seven and goes every other Friday to my mums. And every other Friday to my mil.
Dd2 goes once a month to mums house ( so every other time dd1 goes ) and once a month to mil house (again every other time dd1 goes) she is almost 4 and this has been a regular thing for about a year before she was just staying the occasional times. 1st time was about 2.5 years old.
Ds 10 months yet to stay over

Dd was 14 months, and had never slept through at home, ,

Dd was 14 months, and had never slept through at home, but slept through for the first time ever at dmil's. It was probably earlier than I'd have chosen but it was in preparation for giving birth to dd2 in case she had to stay over then. And dmil is absolutely great with dd1.
