I'll be teaching a y6 music lesson. Then, if the proper teachers interviewed aren't good enough (i don't have a teaching qualification but do have abundant relevant experience) I'm in with a shot. And it's a limited and not impressive field apparently... My mum had him for a couple of hours Friday and is taking him Monday so i can prepare then Tuesday for the lesson.

We used 3 but one was an unnecessary change and the next was a poo. I'm sold on the fleece too, lovely and snuggly and dry on the outside! Pita stripping him to change (the ones I've got only zip to the waist) so I'm going to make some soakers when i get time, probably next week. Dp likes how easy and quick drying fleece is too, and he does the bulk of the laundry :o

Hellooo! Squish is fine, grumpy and a bit sicky though ok. We have had several explodapoos in the last few days but otherwise my bambusa's are holding up really well, I like them a lot. I am really excited about that hat Pidj she has a cute cat one atm but it is starting to ride up her head as it's on the tight side so am looking forward to a new one! My free miosolo came and it's quite good. I have some bambino mio but never used a solo before so was impressed-ish. Nothing speshul, but not bad for only paying p&p Smile

PurplePidjin · 10/02/2013 19:51

I do chin straps so hopefully it'll stay on! I've managed the top increases, just the sides, strap and decoration to do. If this one ever learns to nap Hmm

Good. I'm glad she's OK ish KFC. I think we have jabs later. Shall ring shortly.

Had another bad night with ds2. 2-after 5am he was up screaming and rocking. I can feel my puffy eyes! Shock

9 items of nappies and associated items listed on EBay, mostly bundles so hopefully they'll sell so I can buy more so I have room.

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 12/02/2013 21:59

How was the interview Pidj?

What are the bambusas KFC ? Never heard of those.

No big news here, night nnappies still holding up well - DD's slept a couple of miraculously long stretchesthe last few nights too so im feeling pretty good!

KentuckyFriedChildren · 12/02/2013 23:34

Company called BabyBambusa. They are pockets with a sort of bamboo wool/felt inner, have applix or popper fastening and are plain bright colours. They are on facebook, and are sold on ebay and are super cheap. I got 18 nappies for 14.50 plus 6.99 p&p. They don't come with inserts but I got them off ebay too and they were 12.50 for 20 (dudeybaba) so all in all extremely cheap and good fitting on a wee skinny thing Smile

PurplePidjin · 13/02/2013 02:13

End of the month ish

So I opened the washing machine after nappy rinse to add a towel, to find a load of jelly/gel type substance. Our washing machine has been a bit temperamental the past few washes, so I thought "wow it's really broken now". A quick Google search however suggests that this is because A DISPOSABLE NAPPY WAS PUT IN THE WASHER. We use disposables at night.. DH put a *(&$@!!$ disposable in the nappy bin! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

So I just needed to get that off my chest before I go off to the washer to try and clean up this mess. Sad

PurplePidjin · 14/02/2013 15:52

Rrreow, bloody make him do it!! His mess, after all!

Didn't realise dudeybaba were cheap, i love my one! Need to investigate that then :o

My lad's getting big, gone up a leg snap setting on his realeasies

Is that sun trying to come out?!

29 watchers on one lot of nappies boooo yah!

On the down side I have to wait in for Yodel. Unlike!

NappyHappy · 15/02/2013 10:22

RR, grrrrrrrr that is not good. I left a sposie on the floor once and the dog ate it!

Sad PP, its gone so fast. We're having our wake more in the night phase ATM, how old is R now? 12w?

PurplePidjin · 15/02/2013 12:53

Yep, 3 months next Tuesday Shock 13 weeks on Monday. I can't believe I've kept him safe and healthy all this time!

I have a couple of quid on a few ebay things including a Rosie Boo

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 15/02/2013 16:43

13? Shock how is his cold?

I've just sold my Bambino MioSolo and have some more finishing this weekend so hopefully will be making a trip to the PO next week. It'll go towards paying off debts unfortunately.

All I can say is Caramac!!!!

NappyHappy · 15/02/2013 16:44

What's Rosie Boo?

PurplePidjin · 15/02/2013 17:56

Hooray for sales! Rosie Boo is a wahm, the nappy is cat in the hat so would be my first real "pretty" Blush

OP posts:
BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 15/02/2013 22:27

Aha Pidj you're succumbing to the pretties...! Cat in the hat would be so cute.

NappyHappy your dog ate a nappy?! Blimey did you have to take it to the vet?!

BabyBiscuit and I have both had stinking colds this week too. She's literally coughed herself sick s couple of times. All over me. Every time. Mmmm. Actual lumps of chicken and carrot in it too. Think she's on the mend now though poor little monkey.

PurplePidjin · 16/02/2013 04:48

Of course - what do you take me for, a man?! Hmm

OP posts:
BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 16/02/2013 10:32

Grin pretty sure you're not a man! I blame you lot but mostly th fb groups for my nappy expenditure in the last few months, I didn't realise before that how cute nappies could be! Hope you get the Rosie Boo, looking forward to seeing a pic of R wearing it!

rreow I had a revelation (a bit of a 'duh' one) re the miosolo crappy laundry tabs - pulled out the insert, turned the main bit back on itself (inside out) and stuck the tabs on the velcro strip instead of the laundry tabs - worked a treat, didn't have my usual tangle of stuff stuck together. Mind blowing.... Wink

PurplePidjin · 16/02/2013 13:07

Yeah but for that I'd have to remember who everyone is on farcebook Blush

OP posts:
rrreow · 16/02/2013 15:23

BiscuitCrumbsInBed I use them for nursery, so would have to make a grab into the wet bag once they come back and pull out insert from potentially dirty nappies.. They often stick the velcro back onto the front when they put them in the wet bag, but that means the insert and/or booster doesn't come out properly. I think I will just keep trudging on with these. Although I just listed some of them on FB so hoping to make some ££ to fund the trialling of other AIOs! Currently waiting for some Alvas and then next month I'm thinking of ordering some Real Easies to try.

Oh and news on the broken washing machine front.. we've just ordered a Miele. Blush It's a big chunk of savings gone but it wasn't worth repairing the current washing machine (it came with the house when we bought it and repairing it would cost as much as it cost new!) so we thought we might as well get something REALLY good. Apparently they're supposed to last 20 years. I AM SO RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED!!

PurplePidjin · 16/02/2013 17:17

Love love love my realeasies! Alva i sometimes mess up the stuffing but they're lovely and slim so good for the nappy bag (although i might have nb size ones, they were hand me downs from a friend who's lo was born too big for them, or something!)

Ds just had a lovely time sitting in his bumbo while i made him a soaker. Roll on bed time!

OP posts:
BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 16/02/2013 19:17

It's so sad that i'm excited on your behalf about the Miele... I wouldve got one but couldn't convince DH we should fork out for it! Hope it does last the 20yr, will be worth it if it does.

I also love real easy (on PP's recommendation) I bought a few from the sale at babykind - a total bargain. My 30lb 18mo is just about inthe large - couldn't seem to find any mediums in stock anywhere. If I could I would try & flog the rest of the solos and just have real easy instead. Re the velcro, I'm not fussed about manhandling poo-ey nappies so I don't mind the grimness of the inserts! Grin

rrreow · 16/02/2013 21:33

Oh yeah that's a point.. my DS would probably need the mediums. Not sure. He's about 27lbs at the moment. But he is quite tall, so I might buy a large and see how it fits, not sure how that would go around his legs. Or see if I can find one or two mediums preloved.

LeBFG · 17/02/2013 12:29

Go for the biggest they will fit in is my advice after buying a lot of LL size 2 about 6 months too late. They only lasted a short while before DS was getting sore legs and builder's bum Hmm.
