Please help me think of some ideas of some fun things we can do. I seem to have a mental block at the moment and after breakfast in bed I have got a bit stuck.

I have no ideas either, sorry

but its bump for you Grin

Buntingbunny · 13/06/2012 10:38

Nothing DD2 is off camping with school.

I think I'll ask DD1 to help me cook something really grown up. DD2 is a really fussy pain to feed.

SpottyTeacakes · 13/06/2012 10:41

Probably take dd swimming as it's her birthday :)

Nothing; DH is concreting a new patio, weather permitting, while I keep DS out of his way. :)

Go out for a meal?

chezziejo · 13/06/2012 11:00

Dp is working and says I'm not to get him anything from ds. Im not sure I can but we will see.

Aboutlastnight · 13/06/2012 11:02

I know what DP will want to do Hmm

But he will probably get a lie in, breakfast in bed and then we will go out somewhere with the kids if the weather is good.

purplefuzz · 13/06/2012 14:25

Frankie and Benny's have Dad's eat free deal on. We're off there and then the park Smile

Mother2many · 13/06/2012 19:01

The kids and I have made a few things for their dad...because I know they love making things for him...

I gave him 3 very nice 8x10 pictures of them once and he never did hang them up! GRRR

My X doesn't appreciate doing these things, but my children do... Soo...that's what we are doing...

My own dad is working so, won't be seeing him....

Will be a quiet weekend...

iklboo · 13/06/2012 19:05

Lie in with breakfast in bed
Open presents (just a few bits, he was spoiled rotten on his birthday a fortnight ago)
Afternoon tea at the Radisson Manchester (they're doing 2 for 1 at the minute)
Home, family film & fun

zambooloo · 13/06/2012 20:16

We are going to a paint your own ceramics place.

LittleWhiteWolf · 14/06/2012 14:18

Ooh that's a good tip, purplefuzz. DH loves F&Bs and I don't have to cook. Smile
I've already done my nice meal cooking thing and fabby present buying thing once this month as DH was cleverly Hmm born in June so gets his birthday AND Fathers Day. So a meal out sounds like just the thing.

CrownPrincessOhDearNigel · 14/06/2012 14:34

DD and I went pottery painting and made a mug for Dh. So he will be getting that and that's pretty much it

anja1cam · 14/06/2012 14:49

We might manage a lie-in...

Both DDs (4.5+7.9) made cards, jointly decorated a big mug and they have plans for some baking of treats, after much studying of cookery books yesterday!

But that's it. If the weather is nice (never a given these days, even in June) we might go for a nice walk...

joshandjamie · 14/06/2012 14:52

You could do a treasure hunt. This company does personalised treasure hunts (you can insert pics and clues about the dad/kids) and you all spend family time together looking for the answers around your local town. The only thing is if you want to do a personalised one, you'd need to order it today to get to you in time for Sunday. Otherwise you could always just download one of the hunts (without personalising) and print it off yourself. we're doing the personalised one.

Or go geocaching and take a picnic!

tostaky · 14/06/2012 14:54

my dp really wants to go to legoland despite our children being too young.... (well, oldest is3.5)... so i might agree... but only because it is fathers day...(£96 for a day out excluding petrol and food...!!!!)

tostaky · 14/06/2012 14:58

good idea about the hunt... might save this for next year....

Alabama100 · 14/06/2012 14:59

Breakfast in bed and might treat him to a proper wet shave from selfridges. Have got him a card, mug with baby and him on it and a chocolate orange all from baby.

HipHopOpotomus · 14/06/2012 15:00

Lie in for DP while DD and I cook a lovely breakfast for us all.
Then we will make a cake and over to MIL's in afternoon where we will share cake with all the uncles.

Gettheetoanunnery · 14/06/2012 15:20

It's ds's birthday Saturday so we'll have a small party then. Sleep in for dp in the morning, followed by bacon butty and a cup of tea in bed.
I've made him a hamper of BBQ related stuff along with favourite sweets and treats so we'll probably have a BBQ weather permitting.
Going to visit my dad and fil. Probably grab a pub lunch somewhere.

Perfect Sunday :)

Want2bSupermum · 14/06/2012 15:37

It should be 80F here so I have bought DH a smoker, a 30 pack, some cuts of meat, wood and rubs so he can bbq all day. DD is 11 months so I will be inside with her.

Want2bSupermum · 14/06/2012 15:37

I forgot - I got him a cigar too.

MumofMatty · 14/06/2012 17:00

We are taking DH and Grand Da (who we are staying with) out for Full English Breakfast at their favourite cafe near the beach. Then the Farmer's Market and cake at 3pm and a special roast dinner.

Oblomov · 14/06/2012 17:08

We don't nomrally go to town on it. Ds's makes cards and trinkets at nursery and school. I have bought him a card from each ds, cost of £1 each. I will bake him a cake. Bring him tea in bed and do him a nice fry up. I think this is enough.

matana · 14/06/2012 17:20

Ahem... chilling by the pool in 30 degree heat Wine

Pascha · 14/06/2012 17:23

DH will take DS out somewhere for a couple of hours while I cook a roast I expect. Thats about as complicated as it gets here. No breakfast in bed - he hates the mess.
