I've got two essays to write. One for the 13th, one the 16th.

I've done all my post Xmas cleaning and should get on with them really. I've done the essay plans, got the books to reference. Kids at their dads for the day so no excuse really...

I've got one due on the 16th and one on the 23rd..... and you're way ahead of me in the planning! But I do have the stuff with me...

I'm down at H's house as he's moving the week beginning 9th Jan so I'm packing, decluttering and doing exciting things like going to the tip. :) I hope to escape back to my home on 1st January and will then have a week before term starts on the 9th to get them and the homework done. Hmmm!

brabbinsandfyffe · 28/12/2011 18:39

I've got my dissertation due on 16th as well, though it's got to be bound first so aiming for the fifth as am paranoid they'll lose it - I'm just rewriting the stoopid results, haven't finished the conclusion, got to do the refs, having a general panic etc..it's really interesting but I'm so looking forward to seeing the back of it! Xmas Grin

At least I'm not alone.

I did attempt some work but accidentally on purpose remembered some ironing and that the kitchen floor needed doing.

oh hell,
80000 word project to write up by 5th Jan. Sad

fascinatingcreature · 28/12/2011 19:04

Ah too many 0s! Should be 8000!

Wolfiefan · 28/12/2011 19:05

But it feels like 80000000 right?

brabbinsandfyffe · 28/12/2011 19:07

I'm sure mine's really 120,000,000 :D

MissMogwi · 29/12/2011 12:50

Any progress? Anyone?

No me neither!

I have 2000 words due on the 7th, I want to get it done by monday, so I can take a break from it for a day or two and then polish it up a bit before submitting. This is always my plan as I always get so bogged down in the things I can no longer understand what I've written iykwim. it's never happened yet

brabbinsandfyffe · 29/12/2011 22:54

I've done about half a page before going out for a meal instead a fair amount today but so must get on with it...

MissMogwi · 30/12/2011 11:00

Right. I'm doing a couple of hours today.

Going to do the hardest, most bastard one first, to get it out of the way. Why oh why didn't I start it ages ago.

Why do we never learn? Grin

its so hard to get going after a break - i've one in for 17 january and haven't done the reading yet but still time. am starting another course in february so am overlapping for about three months and am not looking forward to that.

MatureUniStudent · 30/12/2011 16:58

Exam on 4th - nothing is going in. I need a panic emocation. I'd do someones essay if you do my exam. Please?

MetalSian · 30/12/2011 17:58

I have 4 or 5 assignments due in Jan, some at the start but all before the 20th.
Over the last two days my DF has had my on so I got about 9 hours work done.
Very pleased with myself but loads more to do.

brabbinsandfyffe · 30/12/2011 18:02

Once again, have done next to nothing erm, a bit...it's not even so bad once I get going, just can't get myself started!

MissMogwi · 30/12/2011 20:25

Well, I've done absolutely nothing. I am doomed. My brain just won't compute anything other than slobbing out, watching telly and stuffing my fat face.

Plus Officer and a Gentleman
is on tonight and I've only ever seen ten minutes of it.

5000 words due in on the 10th.

1166 words done.

It's not the writing that is the problem...all the reading and referencing...

MissMogwi · 30/12/2011 20:34

Gah, the awful, awful referencing. Angry

I'm doing a creative writing unit in the next term and I can't wait, mostly as I won't have to bloody reference every bloody thing.

OP posts:
MissMogwi · 30/12/2011 20:35

Oh and 1166 words is brilliant. You are the winner today! Grin

OP posts:
HauntedLittleLunatic · 31/12/2011 01:16

1278 words and spool much reading.

Aim for tomorrow is to reach 2000 words, minimum...2800 would be nice and could be doable depending on what time
a) I get up (tries to ignore what clock is telling me...)
and B) dcs go to bed

southeastastra · 31/12/2011 01:18

i have 2000 words to do by wednesday, but on the bright side i got a nice little netbook to mumsnet work on

brabbinsandfyffe · 31/12/2011 14:24

Finished most of the results section in the hairdressers (netbooks are fab! Even with a tiny bit of bleach on...)

chipmunksex · 31/12/2011 20:24

Tellys bought-1
Words written- 0

bummer

SauvignonBlanche · 31/12/2011 20:27

I've got to hand one in the 4th, I haven't started it yet!
