Am I the only parent who does not go out drinking?

Or am I really boring? Every month or so there are mum's nights out and they get absolutely hammered. I mean they will start off with several shots before going on to the first pub, be out until the early hours then vomit several times.

Now, I did all of the above in my teenage years and early twenties and couldn't think of anything worse now.

I would feel bad on the kids coming home in such a state. I am starting to look like the boring mum who doesn't like a good time.

Is it just me?

Show - how old ARE you? I'm confused because you look about 25, yet your wedding photo looks like it was taken in the 80's. Confused And your DH is lush btw.

I don't go out and get drunk. I stay in and get drunk instead. I used to go out and drunk. When you're slim and beautiful you can go out and get plastered and people think you're fun, when you're overweight and frumpy like me people just think you're slightly pathetic. My Manz shape goes out and gets drunk he is overweight and frumpy. He looks slightly pathetic.

I do like a bit of quiche, though. Maybe that's the problem Hmm

School run got in the way. Apologies. I'm 30, got married at 24 and feel about 100. DH is alright I spose. 80s? I don't look that bad.

Tunnels btw? Make it really easy to get trollied. A bar plus sunshine plus softplay in which to abandon your dc.

Ah, 30 ok. (speaking as 41 yr old) No YOU dont look retro, just the tint of the photo (aware I could be digging a deeper hole here)

Never really did the girlie night out, getting lashed thing tbh, although of course we did do group nights in my 20s which were spent drinking heavily. At the grand old age of 32 i have to say they're not really me any more, but i do still like a drink. My DH is my best friend so i'm happy to spend time with him. We either stay in, listen to music, talk and have a few drinks or wheel my 11 mo DS down to the pub (him asleep cozy inside his buggy) and have a meal and a few drinks. Or we go to my sister/ bil and have an evening with them. I don't drink as much as i used to, primarily because looking after a baby with a hangover is very, very hard. And i also can't be sure i'll hear him cry if i'm comatose with booze.
