Inappropriate kissing from DS..?

Would nayone find this innappropriate if they say this. I just stopped b'feeding ds at 12 months (he's now 14 months) and he's still comforted by the latching on and suckling. Since he can't get to my norks, he does it to my erm lips. It all looks a bit french. DP says it looks odd (read Freudian) and the HV said it might start to look a bit inapropraiet to others now he's no longer a baby. I find it really cute and hilarious when he falls over and then comes up to me with his tongue hanging out! Like me and Dp used to be!

Agree with misdee, he is still a baby and it is in way inappropriate. If it were, it would be a sad world we live in.

DS used to kiss me with a wide open mouth before he got the hang of the actual pucker and kiss "mwah" thing - SO cute. If he's still doing it when he's 18, then worry

I think HV behaviour's often inappropriate.

I think their behaviour is often bordering on the insane.

He is just showing you affection, enjoy it, it dont last long with little boyshe will be running in the opposite direction before long when you ask him for a kiss.

Ds comes and kisses me. I've told him about the pucker and "mwah" thing but not sure if he's got the hang of it since he comes up to me, puts his lips to my cheek and goes "moo"

I've said it before - some HVs need a slap. He's still a baby, how on earth can a baby behave inappropriately? Putting adult connotations onto a baby's behaviour is inappropriate.

Make the most it, my ds is now 3 yo and when I ask for a kiss he says he's run out of them

Dd2 kisses me just like that....I regularly get covered in baby spit and sometimes she'll even bite me just to reassure me she loves me very much..... I don't think it's inappropriate at all, might raise eyebrows if he were say errrmmmm in his teens but he's a baby.

My 19 month old is still trying to kiss me open mouthed. It's endearing and amusing - not inappropriate.

I remember my ds giving me an eating kiss when he was tiny too
He did stop (he is nearly 12) and now runs a mile if I look like kissing him so he turned out ok, nothing Oedipal etc

I wouldn't find your DSs "kissing" inapprpriate but I can't say the same for Papillon's comments!

DS is always snogging me, he even calls me his girlfriend and he's 3.5, he doesn't do it open mouthed but even if he did still would not consider it inappropriate. He's my baby boy and always will be.
