WSP "The accidental plagerist" sounds like a good title for a book!

Am near the end - last paragraph is a bit of a confusing ramble and have 200 too many words (on a section that should have a max of 600 - what is it with the OU and word counts they are so meagre). Then have an abstract to write. I could finish this afternoon if I could get started. I can't have a Biscuit as have given them up for lent.

Thanks Prolesworth I'm very glad to have finished it.

wildstrawberryplace · 09/03/2011 22:22

Yay webwiz!

Me - 929 words, but its not a coherent essay yet.

I just worked out that if I get at least 70 for this, and at least 85 for the next one, I will still get a distinction overall for the ongoing assessment score due to substitution, so at the moment I'm not too worried. (Friday morning may be a different matter Hmm)

Feel more confident about the next one, I'm much better at literary stuff.

Not doing any more tonight. You know when you have typed typo upon typo - hapened happended haoend hapenned instead of happened, that it is time to call it a night Grin

Well done Webwiz!

Well, my slides are all ready, and my daft essay for tomorrow is finished so I suppose I too have 'done it' although now I have to give the presentation and lead the seminar. I don't suppose I will be able to procrastinate then, with a load of people watching me Confused

Help!!!!
Can someone help with a few questions?
My TMA01 for AA100 is due tomorrow. What time is the cut off? Is it midday?
Will my document written in Word 2010 be readable by the etma system, Is word 2010 backwards compatible?
Sorry I am in a blind panic here.

Oooh, is it really the case that you can submit after 12 noon but before midnight without an extension? Really? Really?

Thank you so much! I have to go to work in an hour and I still need to redraft 500 words. I may have a few hours spare tomorrow.
I did my masters with the OU in 2004 before they had the etma system. I won't reveal here how many times I had to drive to my tutors house to submit a tma because I was too late to post it.
And then of course there was the drive to MK to hand in my final dissertation....

LB29 · 10/03/2011 19:04

Bugger, scanner isn't working so I have had to get an extension to post my first TMA. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come. The joys of physics and not knowing how to use LaTeX means I can't really type anything up. I have decided that I hate tensors!

schroeder · 10/03/2011 21:55

God I don't even know what tensors areConfused

Feeling really pissed off even though I submitted my TMA and can get on with my life.

Stupid bloody course, I have no idea why I chose itHmm

meh

I've submitted my TMA too. I'm loving this eTMA system. No worrying about the printer ink running out or queuing up at the Post Office to buy stamps to send it off. Now I just need to read on with the material and get ready for the next TMA.
Thanks for your help!
I'm sure I will be back soon. The next one is due in April.

Submitted at 12.25. It took me way longer than I expected to reference, then I had to do some judicious trimming as all the referencing had bloated my word count.

Still, it's in. Woo hoo! Too early for Wine but having a celebratory Crunchie Grin

Prolesworth maybe you're being too harsh on yourself? It's not due until 26th, so perhaps you will naturally gather pace as the time gets closer. As long as you fulfil your promise to yourself of 30 mins work, then you are doing fine and not procrastinating (imho).
