Textual analysis.

Read the book, know the passage well but can't get my thoughts together.

Ouch, Ilythia.

What's your essay about?

NCOT- thanks for the offer! I'll pm you later, don't have books with me at the mo.

Am having a glass of wine with DP. There's New York Special Unit later on tv. Not sure about doing any work tonight Hmm

I wrote the opening sentence. Hurrah Hmm

No, seriously, it helps.

Off to bed to read Dombey and Son (good for falling asleep quickly).

No I meant I haven't proof read any of your stuff yet

winnybella · 02/11/2010 08:10

Oh

I'm having my coffee now, and will get on with it in a few minutes.

Alone with DD so it may be a little tricky.

Well, didn't get anything done, we went out to the park, it's a beautiful day, yellow leaves falling off the trees, DD had a lot of fun kicking them etc.

I put her down for her nap, but can't make myself open my Word doc and get on with it.

Why? What makes me so fucking lazy? Grrr.

He he. Maybe Hmm

DD woke up from her nap, we're having a snack on the sofa. I decided to do it by themes and so have linked them to the evidence in the text iyswim and so now I feel a bit more confident: I'll just have to develop the ideas. Have to do it tonight, so tomorrow will just proofread.

Thanks guys for kicking me Grin

Just start writing you can decide later based on which bit is better

winnybella · 03/11/2010 10:19

Didn't get anything done yesterday. It's due tomorrow. MIL and SIL are coming to visit tomorrow for the whole day. Today I need to clean the house for their arrival and obv, I've got DD with me.

I am an idiot.

Yes, when DD goes down for her nap. Then in the evening. Could wake up v.early tomorrow and get a couple of hours.

No, I have to write a proper essay, would die of shame if I sent just a rough draft for my first tma of the course and especially after the tutor kindly gave me an extension.

But it's always been like that with me. Why the fuck can't I get my shit together? And I like my course and am not behind with reading.

And I wouldn't want to get anything below at least a solid pass 2- which makes me more stressed about it.

Sorry for whining.

Yes, and also I think I'm scared of putting a lot of time and effort into it, because if I do that and get a low mark it would mean that I just suck at it. But if I have only few hours to write the essay and get not a great mark I can say, 'oh, it's still good considering how little time I spent writing this'

Confused

kick kick kick

How are you getting on? Did you manage any work during naptime?
I am a terrible procrastinator as well, and I agree with your explanation 100%. I managed to finish mine today during my free time, but now I am behind on my planning. Oh well.
Such a relief to get it donw though, just think how nice it will feel not to have it hanging over you. (and turn OFF the wifi. I used my own netbook instead of school computer as mine doesn't connect to the wifi properly, so no chance of going online)

winnybella · 03/11/2010 20:39

Well done Ilythia!

Didn't get anything done, well, wrote 208 words when DD had a nap, but they aren't any good, I don't think.

I'm sitting down to it now.

Not feeling inspired.

Wish me luck.
