Thanks Smile

dh has just had it done, this summer. He's 36. We only have 1 dd (7).

alfabetty · 19/10/2010 22:27

Thanks. DH is 36, we've 2 DCs aged 3 and 6, and I wondered if that was 'early' - whether people waited until their DCs were much older.

DH is having his next week - he is 36 and we have a nearly 6 yr old. 36 seems to be a popular age to have it!

lola0109 · 19/10/2010 22:53

Can i hijack and ask how long it took for appointments to come through?

DP is 32 and if 36 is a common age I'm not willing to wait 4 years! :)

AnnieLoBOOseder · 19/10/2010 22:55

It was a few months from visit to GP to appointment, but not years! Funny how 36 seems to be a common age....

lola0109 · 19/10/2010 23:02

We've been waiting 6 months so far and the longer we wait the more I think oh well maybe its a sign we should have one more.

I know its NOT a sign we should more so the sooner the better! :)

expatinscotland · 19/10/2010 23:04

he was 32. we have 3 children.

they were 7, 4 and 1 at the time.

Tortington · 19/10/2010 23:05

mrsfollowill · 19/10/2010 23:10

he was 37, we have 1 dc and decided no more
the appt came through v quick (too quick for his liking at the time!) - only 4 weeks from asking GP to op being done.

Thingumy · 19/10/2010 23:13

33,his bio child was 9 months and his step daughter was 7.

mice · 19/10/2010 23:18

37, we had two children 12 and 13. His appt came through within a month.

lola0109 · 19/10/2010 23:22

6 months does seem a long time to wait, maybe it is a sign! :)

Oh, if it comes through soon DP will be 32, i'll be 29, DD1 2yo, DD2 6/7mo.

4plus1 · 20/10/2010 11:25

Dh had it done in july, he was 46. We have 5 dc's

Acanthus · 20/10/2010 11:27

34, kids were 5 and 3

NorbertDentressangle · 20/10/2010 11:30

He was 40. DCs were 9 and 5.

DiscoDaisy · 20/10/2010 11:35

I think he was about 35. DC were 9,5,3,2&1.
He was supposed to have it done after number 2 but due to a phobia of needles it never happened til after number 5. Because of the needle issue he had a general anaesthetic rather than a local.

poorbuthappy · 20/10/2010 11:36

37, 3 kids, 5 and 18 month old twins.

Needanewname · 20/10/2010 11:40

DH is planning on this, he is 39 and DDs are 7 and 4. We've decided no more children and he's happy to be done but is a bit worried about the after effects!!!!

Can anyone reassure him that all will work well!

Needanewname · 20/10/2010 11:41

Actually he's just said he's not worried, he (and please forgive me these are his words!!!) wants to know what the moeny shot will look like!!!!!
