my dh was 29 and we have 3 children together and he has 2 from a previous relationship and they were 7,6,4,3,and 6 months

DH has his 2 weeks ago. He is 37. He has a dd of 7 and we have a dd of 3.7 and a ds of 10 months

Needanewname - DH was "done" in 20 minutes and you can barely notice anything (no stitches just a small bruise about the size of a raisin )

Needanewname's DH - everything functions and appears to be exactly the same as before, from my point of view, and afaik, from my DH's. Took a while to get clear, but works as well as before the op.

He was 31.
We have 3 DCs.
At the time they were 4, 5 and 1 month old.

DH had first vasectomy at age 36 when his first three kids were 1,3 and 5. That marriage ended. We got together - married he had reversal - 2 more kids. He had his second vasctomy at 49 when our two were 2 and 4.

It is the right thing to do Mr.Needanewname.
(Even though you might not think so straight afterwards.)

dh got his apppointment through within 3 weeks of the referal. He was 39 dc were 3 and 7 - unfortunatly it did not happen when he got there for medical reasons.

Three DD's, 4 months, 3 years and 5 years.

DH had his when he was 44 - he had 2 DD's then 8 & 15 from his first marriage and we had 2 DD's 17 months and 3 months.

DP had his when he was 44. DD1 was 11, DD2 was 1 year. Yeah, DD2 was a bit of a surprise, in case you're wondering. That's the withdrawal method for ya!!!

My DH was 32 and at the time it seemed the right thing to do. about a year ago i wanted another baby. i am now in my early 40's but it may have been my hormones kicking in and the fact that my 3 children did not need me as much.

DH was 43, we had 2 DDs - 2.5 and 5 months old. He had some minor complications with wound healing and needed antibiotics and his stitch redoing, but says it wasn't traumatic.

He was 32 and ds was 4 years and dd 3 months.

Everything works just as it used to, it just can't get me pregnant.

The biggest issue was that they gave him valium when they did it which made him very 'drunk' and when we collected the children from my parents he lost the idea of 'too much information'.

Thanks. DH thinking about having it. I am pretty sure I don't want any more children, DH doesn't either. Feels very final though. But I think a surprise pregnancy would be more of a problem for us, and I don't want to take hormones forever.

Almost 4 years ago ..DH was 40 me 36,kids were 18,16,15,(my children),dc number 4 was 3 (our child).....but we have been talking about reversal.

He was 37. We had DS1 (4) and DD (2) and I was 8 months pregnant with DS2. He got an appointment about a month away and then suddenly got a cancellation appointment had it done within a couple of days.

£2 we had 3 children aged a few months,2 and 5.

He was 38, we had 2 children aged 2.2 and 2 months. We booked right after youngest was born.

DH was 39 dd's were 5,2 and 3 weeks old.

It wasn't successful in his case (he is one awkward git) and we now have another 4 month old addition.

I got a c section for dc4 so also got sterilised at the same time!
