Which is the one that you put at the bottom of the nappy pile and only use if you're VERY behind on the laundry?
Kushies is mine!

Really, starlover? I was looking at them on a site and thought they looked quite like the fuzzi's.

I don't like using prefolds on their own, much prefer to use them as stuffing.

starlover · 09/09/2005 23:11

yeah i have a blue gingham one and the outer is quite cottony and it wicks really badly. and the bit between the legs is much wider than fuzzis

that said, ds doesn't seem to mind it!

i LOVE my nature babies wraps though!

misdee · 09/09/2005 23:14

i had some nature babies wraps. i sold them on ebay, they looked good but wicked terribly.

last one to be used are i am afraid, slinki minkis, they just arent very slinki to me.

chipmonkey · 09/09/2005 23:15

Psychobabble, you can't mean that you don't like fuzzi-bunz!

OP posts:
chipmonkey · 09/09/2005 23:16

Agree with you, misdee, was quite disappointed in how non-slinki they were too!

OP posts:
starlover · 09/09/2005 23:16

isn't it odd how didfferent things work for differnt people?

i like my slinki minkis but i need the sides to be a bit longer because they;'re too tight, but if i loosen it the velcro rubs on ds's tummy!

chipmonkey · 09/09/2005 23:17

But I like MInkies for nights when a big bum is of less consequence!

OP posts:
chipmonkey · 09/09/2005 23:19

Thats because they WILL insist on making babies in all shapes and sizes, starlover! Very inconvenient, I know!

OP posts:
starlover · 09/09/2005 23:19

in terms of wicking and things though... you'd think they'd be the same

misdee · 09/09/2005 23:22

i do like the look and feel of my new bamboozle tho. sorry i meant dd3 bamboozle.

NannyL · 10/09/2005 10:00

I personally HATE cotton bottoms! (the prefolds...)

tho to be fair i dont have a problem with the wraps

munz · 10/09/2005 10:02

Kushies Basic for me, needed more extra padding than I could be bothered with.

Oooh, and bambino mio prefolds... but I think that might have been due to DD's bum shape

munz · 10/09/2005 11:47

was hoping to use bambino mios and tots bots.

Cooperoo · 10/09/2005 11:57

Worst I tried was the SamIam, just no padding at all. The one I owned and used last if ever was a cotton covered minki. DD1's thunderthighs meant this wicked every time. Loved the design though . Worst wraps for me were the Nature Babies. Looked great but such a bad fit on dd and wicked like made. Bummis super whisper were only a bit better.

flamesparrow · 10/09/2005 11:57

Aww, it could just be me with the bambino... DD has a HUGE bum, and the poo just seemed to leak everywhere and I was needing to wash every wrap constantly

Tots I loved though

Cooperoo · 10/09/2005 12:21

Flamesparrow - I had the same problem with the Bambino Mios. DD1's frequent explosive b/f poos meant we needed a new wrap nearly every time and defeated the object somewhat. They would have suited my dd2 though who poos much less frequently and with much less force lol.

munz · 10/09/2005 12:25

how long did the tots bots take to dry FS?

(could use a tumbler) and did u use liners/boosters with them?

flamesparrow · 10/09/2005 12:30

By themselves with no heat etc... a good 20 hours!

On a radiator - much less, I would normally put them on with the heating on overnight (hate being cold), and they would be dry by morning)

Tumbledryer - 1hr (I think... its been a while)

I used disposable liners, but will probably go with cloth next time. Only used boosters for nighttime.

I was using the rainbow ones for daytime which are thinner, and they would still last a good 4 hours with DD - a heavy wetter.
