Do you go in and kiss your children goodnight when you go to bed?

I always go into 3yo DD's bedroom before I go to bed to check on her and to kiss her goodnight.

I can't imagine if they will stop, or when.

I know even as teenagers my parents would come and say goodnight (if we were awake) when they went to bed. And my mum says that even if we were asleep she'd come and kiss our foreheads - right until we left home.

Yes, always go in, straighten out duvets, put child back with head on pillow etc., remove toys/books, turn out night light. Don't do the kiss, but do have a little look as they are all so lovely and innocent when asleep - completely different to their daytime personas

Dh very rarely bothers. I have to go and tell him if I want one of them moved because they're in the wrong bed (too heavy to carry now I'm 8 months pregnant). Can't understand why he wouldn't want to go and see them every night

But a question - at what age did you stop going into their bedrooms to tuck them up at night / give them their kiss, ie. they come to you to say goodnight and then go to their bedrooms? Would like to do this with dd (age 9) and ds (age 8) but dd is reluctant. I'm just a bit tired of heaving my large body up and down the stairs so many times (I've two younger ones as well).
