Yep. After the fame she gained from the early Clangers' years she got on a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol. This took a great toll on her health and she spent her final years in a NHS clinic.

I think that's why her decline was so rapid. A sad, sad story.

i think mumsnet is so fab we couldnt possibly pick one poster as standing out or being more favourable to others - we would have to set criteria - like worst advice giver - best stropp- worst name - most sick humour - worst speller - best lookin - biggest slapper - the mumsnetter you wouldnt trust in a room with your husband .
