wtf? why did i write maximum protection? make this poor woman sound like a sanitary towel

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 16:50

javier!

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 15/10/2009 16:54

LOL at sanitary towel.

yes the 'tea time' at 5.30pm is hard to implement psychologically. But once you have seen benefits ...
here meal times are the following: 7.30 breakfast 12 lunch 3.30 merenda 5.30/6 dinner
(I still cannot call it tea).

must go and bake cake for school cake sale.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 15/10/2009 16:55

oh btw Javier I haven't congratulated you for your baby with penelope, I herad you are not at all plased, tell us why.

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 16:59

Is penelope pg? Link please!!!

What are you baking pippi?I totally fucked up a lovely cake (I think wrong oven program) yesterday, it was as hard as marble...

Yes, I've never been able to bring myself to call it tea . Why is it called tea btw?

JavierBardem · 15/10/2009 17:04

is she preggers? let me google....

JavierBardem · 15/10/2009 17:06

we have meals synchronised with pippi's household! cannot bear kids after 7! ...and even before....

yes, link please. and reliable source please.

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 17:06

I can't find anything, just a rumour dated may 2009

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 17:09

I have to say that I actually love having dinner with my dc, they are much more fun than dh (poor dh, he is great, but di poche parole), they entertain me a lot.
And I love the time between after dinner and bedtime

JavierBardem · 15/10/2009 17:21

yes, cannot find any new rumours.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 15/10/2009 18:31

Oh I like all that too. I sometimes eat with them or if I don't I sit with them. And yes I love that time after dinner too but not if it is after 7. Mind you usually 15min before and 1/2 after dinner is tv time. They are exhausted.

Must go and put them to bed. While I cooked dinner tonight however I managed to bake two cakes: a blueberry one and an apple and blackberry. Do not wow yet as not sure of result. so tempted to try before sale but how can I?

must go both pippi's are knackered.

re penelope's pg the 'reliable' source was a gossip slavakian weekly I read at friends house yesterday .

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 15/10/2009 18:33

pippi's ?????? oh the shame!!

by the way from what I understood that 5.30 meal is called tea because served at tea time. Sometimes kids eat again, perhaps when older and that is supper. am I talking crap oh you english ones? not sure when dinner is used.

I use the brakfast lunch snack and dinner.

I have a mental block and refuse to call it tea, 'tis my pet hate.

basta a dopo

Rosa · 15/10/2009 18:54

Is that high tea or afternoon tea ????
But then again is it dinner or supper??
Do you have lunch or dinner?
All goes way back to my guess is Victorian times but I bet someone can correct me.
DH might be going down with man flu he has come in looking for the Vicks first defence - that I threw out as it had expired by 10 mths.He doesn't want any dinner right now and has gone for a shower to warm up - I told him to take a hat at 7 am and it was 7degrees and wiindy ( bearing on mind he os out on the water!)
Hope the baby sputs are over the colds and mini buch is doing better . Oh and Penthes nanny - it is such a bind when you have to re organise the whole day . I hope she makes it in domani.
DD stayed at school for afternoon nap- she diddn't nap and so was in bed and asleep at 19.20. Minirosa was asleep by19.00 and she had her pm nap ..BOH !

One gone the other one is reading for 5 minutes.

Rosa, exactly. There have been so many threads re the class you belong to according to how you call your meals. And I've never understood.

Blueberry cake seems a bit disastrous, al the blueberries are sunk to the bottom (pippi made a mistake in adding sugar to the whites - maybe that?). I'm sure could still taste good. Let's see what happens once I turn it upside down - to hide the disaster.

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:03

Mine have another 30 mins before going ...

Ds has just asked me to give him a problem to solve, dd is hovering around... sponging off his knowledge

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:06

Yes, tea time is a pet hate of mine too... makes me immediately think of fish fingers and baked beanz

Rosa, oh no! Another victim of man flu!!! I feel for your dh it must be freezing on those canals early in the morning! He is brave!

The cake sounds nice pippi

Rosa · 15/10/2009 19:06

Nah Pippi if anything the sugar would have held the whites stiff. It is simply as the fruit is heavier than the mixture and I think something to do with teh heat - It happens in my muffins sometimes so I do them ' thicker'.
I should really do ironing or something but am shattered ....no idea why !

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:07

Rosa I'm impressed by your bakery knowledge.

Where's minerva btw, I hope she is ok

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:12

Gordon Brown will be chatting on mn tomorrow! I wonder if he'll ever answer my question

Rosa · 15/10/2009 19:12

OK - the bells chimed 8 ( long as usual ) they are now going nuts why??????

OP posts:
Rosa · 15/10/2009 19:13

what did you ask Franca?

OP posts:
francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:13

No idea!

francaghostohollywood · 15/10/2009 19:14

How embarassing it is for any english politician to meet berlusconi

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 15/10/2009 19:23

Franca bloody good question if you ask me!! I didn't know he was going to be here. Will check it out.

Both gone now. Big pippi fell asleep while listening to the story, bless.

Rosa yes I meant to say I forgot the sugar in the whites so I guess that didn't stay stiff and also added some milk to make it less hard [idiot emoticon]. Will always remember your tip.
When my DH has man flue he acts in exactly the same way when he gets home. Mind you after last time when I dismiss his ailments as man flu and ended up in hospital I don't dare snigger anymore.

Apple cake look okay so if worse come to the worst we'll keep one at home

Rosa · 15/10/2009 19:27

Very good question...I woulder how tactfully waffly indirect way he will answer that ?
Must pop off.....
