I think that's what it is called, Channel 4 tonight at 8.30pm.

Any Mumsnetters on it?

Should be a laugh, looking for some confirmation that my house is not that dirty after all!

I don't think I'll watch it. I think I'll settle down on my filthy sofa and watch the Cup Final on my TV through the layer of dust.

Denial DENIAL DENIAL!!

whymummy · 21/05/2003 13:57

m2t your country men are drinking seville dry,i love to be there, still im hoping theyre all good looking and wearing their kilts, yum!!!

Mum2Toby · 21/05/2003 14:00

I'm trying very hard to shout for the Scottish Team, but they are normally our arch enemy!!

But I hope the fans do us all proud and behave themselves. On the way home from Liverpool on Monday Glasgow Central Station was mobbed with Sombrero-clad kilted men!

whymummy · 21/05/2003 14:07

dont worry i shout for real madrid although im a barcelona fan and ill probably get lynched if i was in spain,im worried about keeping up with the scottish drinking ill probably get legless tonight anyway about tonights program i`ll watch tomorrow with a bag of frozen peas in my head and a bucket by my side

ghengis · 21/05/2003 14:21

I think it sounds too scary: what if DH gives me meaningful looks that say "it's just like our house"?!!!

meanmum · 21/05/2003 14:23

She looked ferocious on the adverts and I'm already scared of her so I won't be watching. In all honesty though I'm intending to wash all the paint off our carpets that the decorator left so in some small way will be doing some housework. Not what I want to be doing but hey ho.

Tinker · 21/05/2003 19:23

Will certainly be watching this, boasting 'Call that dirty?'

And I'm going to Champion's League final next Wednesday - hurrah!

I've already got the pledge out and it's only the commercial break!

made me itchy and scratchy

Bobbins · 21/05/2003 21:01

That was gross. Truly

anais · 21/05/2003 21:11

Urghhhh, but doesn't it make you feel better about your own house?

Linnet · 21/05/2003 21:30

I really wanted to watch this programme but since my brother decided to commandeer the tv and watch the uefa cup final I didn't get to see it, ah maybe next week. Was it really gross? Maybe my house won't feel so bad after I've watched an episode of it, lol

anais · 21/05/2003 21:59

It was awful, Linnet - and he was a science teacher!!!!

He was shaving his head and leaving all the hair around the floo - his toilet looked like it had never been cleaned - the floor was about six inches deep in muck of various kinds - and the kitchen....I don't even know where to start on the kitchen...

Urghhhhh, certainly made me feel better about my house!

Demented · 21/05/2003 22:35

Yuck!

Did anyone else think that the rug in his livingroom was black and grey? I got quite a shock to see it after it was cleaned, it was blue and cream! That house was really disgusting! I can't believe he hadn't hoovered for 5 months, unreal!

BTW anyone know where you can get one of those beastie catcher things?

NQWWW · 21/05/2003 23:53

I can't believe how low Channel 4 has stooped! Do we really need all those close ups of dried urine round the toilet seat? What's next? A half-hour documentary on how people wipe their *rses?

Tinker · 22/05/2003 00:02

erm, I thought it was ok, just lived in.

EmmaTMG · 22/05/2003 07:01

I've only got a few words to say about the programme last night.

DIRTY, LAZY B***D!

eidsvold · 22/05/2003 07:40

I actually felt ill looking at the state of his house and as for being a teacher - can you imagine the way the kids will behave for him now if they saw that..... there really was no excuse for that....

spacemonkey · 22/05/2003 08:10

I thought it was hilarious - and absolutely ROTTEN! Couldn't believe how Aggie and Kim were actually touching the filth with their bare hands . Good tip about the vinegar to get limescale off though.

arabella2 · 22/05/2003 08:21

I couldn't believe how nice they were to him. If that had been a woman living like that they would have been much less respectful and chummy towards her.

futurity · 22/05/2003 08:51

What was the tip about the vinegar and the limescale...it involved a toilet roll but i can't remember the rest!

Gini · 22/05/2003 09:40

it was toilet roll soaked in white wine vinegar and poppped in a small bag, stick on to the end of the taps with a laccy band for a few hours and the lime scale peals off - v impressive I thought!
