Anyone else remember the 4 Marys?

And almost all of them seemed to have a story about a working class 'gal' who was a brilliant runner coached by a strange, bitter coach who walked with a cane.

And Jackie talked about boys! Cathy and Claire!

Fab thread - feeling all nostalgic . Does anyone remember |Esmerelda (I think) - used to have it delivered on a Saturday morning and would take it into bed with mum & dad and read it while they read the newspaper! Walter hottle bottle takes me back...

Who remembers Dr Gull?
We still refer to Wee Slavey in our family (Victorian under, under maid, may have been some sort of ghost?)

Jura, I used to read Tammy! Didn't it amalgamate with a couple of others and become "Tammy and Sandie" then "Tammy and June"? After a while it would just slide back to being Tammy. Do you remember "Wee Sue" as well as Bella?

My best friend lost her virginity to one of "This week's Fellas" from My Guy magazine!

Loved reading Jinty, then Jackie. Have to confess girls (this makes me feel very very old!!) that I ended up working on Jackie then Just seventeen on the early-late 80s - the era of scarves tied artily in hair, pixie boots, Limahl, Culture Club, Frankie says T-shirts... arrggh, am so ancient!!

I remember Beezer - the Numskulls in particular. Little men who lived inside some blokes mouth, nose and eyes. Aah the nostalgia!!

Does anyone remember Nikki? Redvale comp was the main story. It folded and I was gutted because I never got to find out what happenned to all the characters.

I remember Beezer, as well! In fact, I think it must have been my older bro who got Eagle and my younger bro who had Beezer. Happy days, eh?
