70/80's suits me too. I will know the words to the songs and even the dance moves. That's not helping my credibility at all but what the hell it's shot to pieces anyway. No Advocaat under the sink M2T but loads of scotch including some Chivas which I hope will suit you northerners. I'm a vodka girl so you will see me being extremely friendly with SoupDragon in the hope she'll let me share her 3 bottles. No problem as I'll add mine to hers and we'll have loads. Partial to a wine or scotch and dry or in fact anything.

I'm expecting Whymummy to be flamencoing with Pedro while I eye him off jealously from afar. I suppose she gets first dibs as she is bringing him.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of babysitters. I think I'll just leave ds to look after himself. He's old enough to get his own dinner and put himself to bed (and his mother to bed). Well close enough to old enough I figure (15 months). Dh is going to have to go find his own virtual party.

Is this a trial run for our mumsnet conference then?

whymummy · 07/05/2003 20:00

it is meanmum!!pass the vodka sweetie darling!!
i leave pedro to you he says he loves australian senoritas!!

Hey don't forget about me!!! I shall bring a handsome date... now that Brad is recovering it will have to be...err

Jude Law, coorr!
or..that guy off Angel, whats his name.... you know

EmmaTMG · 07/05/2003 20:38

I don't know I log off for a few hour to sort out the mayhem in my house and you've all gone mad!
I don't think my offer of jam and dairylea sarnies will be good enough for such a high class bash unless of course it's that posh jam with the gingham check lid that sainsburys do and primula cheese......will that do then girls?
I could try a lace them with some booze too if you want.......
Oh I don't think anyone has mentioned Jelly and ice cream for pudding yet either but maybe thats crystaltips's area of expertise.

meanmum · 07/05/2003 20:42

Emmatmg - all food is welcome and I'm making fairy bread which is way down on the list for posh nosh. Don't worry about Cyrstaltips as she's bringing the pud but we're obviously not going to put that out. We'll put yours out and eat yours instead and not even thank her for the effort she put in.

I doubt I'll be there all day. The children need feeding occasionally and we've just got a new TV that they don't know how to work yet so they'll keep bothering me

Ohhhh, Meanmum, you misunderstood. It's one 3l bottle of vodka, complete with pump dispenser . Why have 3 small bottles when 1 huge one will do nicely??

Hi everyone - I'm back - have been doing some serious research on all available stripping firemen for the party and am KNACKERED!!! Hope you are all grateful!
All ages and tastes catered for and at least two of them said they will make black coffees for those in need at end of evening.
Extending hoses and shiny helmets ready for Friday!
The things I do for England!!

I'm off to oddbins to stock up in the morning...

And I want some of those cheese and pineapple sticks but only if they're stuck in a grapefruit wrapped in foil.

Oooh might even make some canapes and hope the dog doesn't scoff them all like she did at xmas.
Does this mean a night off the diet?
