Just reading this thread. Finbar I think we need firemen please (plural rather than single). I can't believe how good looking the firemen are in this country compared to at home.

I'll bring fairy bread (it's an Australian kids party thing), little boys (another Australian oddity) and loads of grog. For some reason dh insists on buying huge bottles of duty free spirits and then not consuming them so why don't I supply the grog for those bringin yummy food.

For us poor souls dieting, how about I supply the standard vegetable sticks with a low fat hummus dip.

Would love to come but can't as am going out to see a band and eye up men! but may arrive late if that's ok, if a little drunk! I will send some party nibbles though just to add to the general party atmosphere and a bottle of unidentified liquer that DH brought back from a business trip - tastes foul, but is alcohol.
